In response to customer feedback we?ve reworked our templates entirely to make use of the industry standard Smarty template engine. As a result, now customizing designs is far easier.

We?re excited to be the first CMS provider to offer users a choice of template languages.

Now our clients can choose between our original code-based XSL/XHTML templates or Smarty templates!

It?s important to us that we deliver the best possible software product and the best possible results for our clients and we feel that Smarty is the logical choice.

Smarty is the most widely used template engine in our industry. It?s used by NATS and many other popular software products. What this means for our users is that you have a template system that most of the designers in the business are familiar with. It also means that any designer or coder who offers NATS skins or skins for other programs will now be able to provide skins and template work for the Elevated X CMS!

The best part is that all the great automation, interactive features and functionality of our system is still present in the Smarty version so users gain ease of use without sacrificing power.

I love you, AJ. You've really been incredibly helpful, and hell, you were even around working on the weekends with me. Not too damn many people in this industry take complaints, or suggestions. You actually accepted both and took a new direction to open your application to a wider audience. Bravo.

I know buddy. Adding another template system has been a long time coming and was a big decision for us.

We didn't abandon XSL by any means. Instead we're offering the system in BOTH XSL AND Smarty although for maximized ease of use all new CMS installs will get Smarty by default unless someone specifically requests XSL.
