I'm not arguing that TGP's aren't taking away from your money. It's called free enterprise. Instead of being uptight about TGP's you should have been working on your business enough that no competition could hurt you.

I checked out tgp once. One of the first forays into tgp was my old splitinfinity stoplist with its "free pic" feature. I turned that on and immediately my sales went down to a small fraction of what they were. I took that free pic thing down immediately and never went back. No free content from me, they pay or they go waste tgp bandwidth.

TGP works, there's no doubt about that. But it does not work well. And it ruins the business by giving away so much free content that people no longer need to buy, thus ruining it for everyone.

TGP is what webmasters do to get traffic when they aren't good enough webmasters to get traffic any other way. Fear them? No way, I actually pitty tgp webmasters. Really, I do.

This thread is not directed at any webmaster with a lick of sense. I'm speaking of the people that continuously bash people that are new to this business and any method of advertising they don't use themselves. The webmasters that go with the flow of this business are the ones that will make it for years to come.

I didn't say anything ill of anyone posting galleries or running TGP's. If you don't get every extra piece of the pie that you possible can there will always be someone that will.

Tgp's were invented by "old skoolers". Let's see... The Hun, Al Fore, Thumbzilla, Shemp... I think the Buffet Family were the first to coin the term. And the list goes on.

I wouldn?t loose any sleep over it personally. A few more months and I will be retired and on the beach with all of the others that started making money online early. This isn?t a career or a vocation? It has been a means to a VERY profitable end?

If you newbs make as much money as quickly and easily as we oldies did then I am happy for you. It?s all that really counts.

I'm not nearly as new to this business as alot of posters here but I did only start just over a couple of years ago. I make enough money and more every month. I'm not saying you couldn't make money the old way, I'm speaking of the webmasters that are so stuck on what is they are oblivious to anything different. The same ones that feel threatened by TGP, newbs, and any competition whatsoever.

Congrats on your retirement. Me, I'm in the business for a long, long time. Making money isn't a job to me it's my hobby. Instead of skiing, playing instruments, or working on muscle cars I have always enjoyed the challenge of running a business and making as much money as possible. This is one of my kicks in life and I'm loving every second of it.

If you are still spitting out new ideas and have an open mind about this business you will probably never get caught by the newbs of today. You know the webmasters I'm talking about, "that shit won't work", "tgp's are stealing my money", "I can't pay my models more than $50 or I'll lose money", etc. If you have been in the business for 5 years and you are still pumping out new things and going with the flow of the business in general you are obviously a smart man. Some people just don't get it.

I honestly wouldn't mind, and theres most likely zip that I do that interferes with anything most webmasters here do but I don't have the time. I'm running on around 24 hours right now and probably won't get to sleep until late tonight if at all.

I don't mind helping people out from time to time but there are alot of completely lost people trying to make a buck on their own when they would be much better off at a job. Business in general isn't right for everyone but adult is by far the easiest of them all.

I somewhat agree with stocktrader, too often we see these old timers coming and talking about shit that nobody cares about, they are living in the past and holding on to these memories of when they use to "be on top". Its fairly sad as most of these people are only a legend in there own mind. If they had made as much money as most of them claim daily, they should of long retired but instead they keep putting out there boiler plate sites and cursing the younger guys who are making better sites that they end up copying anyways. (bangbus, cumfiesta, collegefuckfest) etc.

Porn is evolving into a business that is owned more by younger people, We are starting to see a phasing out of alot of the older "legends"..

Who really wants to be in there 40's and say they own a porn site anyways? You will be known as the block pervert and the guy that has one pair of jogging pants.
