I think it would be better if UK webmasters and not only UK but all with UK traffic put the link to the petition on their sites in some good visible place for a few days. Because there might be a few hundreds UK webmasters here. But there are millions of the UK visitors to the sites the UK webmasters hold every day. Do the math.

Someone in The Netherlands parliament already proposed to make the same ISP censorship on porn as in UK. If the bill goes into effect in UK, I am pretty sure lots of other countries will do the same.

this could be a good thing as if its stoped now then chaces are no uk goverment will want to try this for a while at least.

the problem they have is that they have a chinease firm who is doing the blocking. and that means one firm has the say on what sites are and not ok.

cameran has also said that page 3 would not be blocked. now this makes life interesting becase such sites as only tease are no more than toplessw, so in theory those sites should not be blocked, and if they are will they have a claim against the isp's?

And if its going on words, sites with words such as Sessex in (sex) could be blocked. So if your running a big website selling non adult goods and even for 1 day your site is blocked, you could loose millions. And would you have a claim against the isp's?

Yes, indeed and I know this, you know this and everyone who has a clue about how the internet functions knows it but the ridiculous silly government does not and some of them just do what they are told to do no matter what.

I see it as pointless and retarded crap that will hit in both the internet users and the web industry causing nothing but problems. But what can we do about it when they say they are right and they will not change their minds even when solid arguments and reasons by reliable authorities have been given? I also don't get why most British adult webmasters don't fight with this now when there is a time by for example gathering this 100 000 votes under the petition. If every British adult webmasters put a temporary link to the petition with the right note on their sites the 100 000 would be gathered already.
