I was never a fan of these Rockstar games, but this one looks like they've kicked it up a notch.

RS is kinda hit and miss. GTA 3, Vice City and 4 were fun but San Adreas and Red Dead Redemption were not fun (played for about 40 minutes, got bored, never played it again). GTA 4 is especially fun. Not only is the physics engine a blast but they inject so much humour into the game you keep playing just to laugh.

Can't wait for GTA 5 and will probably buy it right away.

I think there's better open world games. That was always my problem with all the praise Rockstar gets for their work.

But, this one looks pretty crazy. It's like a world is going on around you no matter what you're doing, and you can check in on whatever you want at any time.

I think eventually they'll have a game that's 100% dynamic. It's just a world they lay out for you, and the AI allows the player to create the game with their own choices. Events organically happen based on your own actions.

I think the next gen game Watchdogs is a step in that direction.

These games are an immense amount of fun, but a tremendous time suck. The only time I can find to play is when I get the flu!

I totally disagree with SA & Red Dead being boring, but GTA 4 was such a blast! Have you played the expansions (DLC)? The Ballad of Gay Tony is such an awesome storyline and the extras like base jumping and sticky bombs...icing on an already delicious cake!

I must say, The GTA series is my favorite of all time.
Always innovative and just fun to play.

Tony was great, it almost had the same feel as vice city (music wise)

Red dead was pretty boring, just not enough going on in the wild west

If they did it more like far cry 3 it would be better, though that game still needs hordes more enemies in it too

Anyway GTA 5 looks awesome, can't wait to not play any of the game except for the stock market and wonder why I am wasting my time on this and go back to working on the internet. But before I realize this it will be awesome

i stopped playing at vice city stories, of which came out after san andreas and was the last on that gen before the ps3, xbox 360.

i won't be buying then playing gta5. i don't like the storylines for starters and i would rather see a first person the sims 4.

the game looks amazing, the graphics look already mouth watering because they have been saturated with so much polish.

on second thought i might just play to find out how long it can capture my interest without me committing one crime.
