my personal opinion is you don't ever teach critical mass to do anything. they will quickly ruin yet another avenue to gain traffic. you let the smart ones figure it out on their own, and i can tell you from using tumblr, it's not rocket science, and the ones with no restraint will never even pursue it. teaching the less than intelligent to do anything isn't really the best idea in my honest opinion. people who are really good at tumblr are not gonna be happy with stuff like this. 3,2,1 till tumblr promo is destroyed by halfwits.

just my personal opinion of course, and i'm sure some halfwit will be along any time to try to tell me i'm not entitled to it.

I totally hear you, for years I kept everything we done very private. But now that we run a platform for webmasters, we have lots of new guys asking us where to start and how to make money online.

I recall reading a HUGE post from Shap on here, explaining from A-Z how he built twisty and how he was living the good life in the Bahamas.. Probably the post that changed my life motivation wise.

Considering this and that our program will benefit from educated webmasters, we decided to share some of your knowledge so hopefully we will get some smart minds started and in a few years they will be the one writing tutorials.

And as he said... its nothing new for experienced webmasters.

Of course your better with your own sites, but tumblr have lots of internal traffic and its nice free platform to get started.

Lots of affiliates dont have the resources to deal with hosting ect.
Also, we have some people targeting the right niches and banking in the high xx,xxx$ monthly , only via tumblr and similar sites.

If you follow the guidelines they wont ban you.

Be active socially, update with great content & follow the guide

We have LOTS of them and they all run flawless.

But again, your right for the long term I would suggest to start your own hosted sites ( tutorials will come as well)
But right now I think its a good way to get started fast and make your lab testing while generating good revenues, so you find your niche and move the the higher level of webmastering.

Every man for himself, but I can assure you some affiliates who are doing this well now are not happy that theres a whole bunch of new competition coming to Tumblr, most of it incompetent. It's incompetent internet marketers, or those without care for consequence of their actions that mess things up for people who know the lines on these networks. I'm sure they'll all be thrilled when the non abiding webmasters destroy yet another technique and medium for traffic generation. The only way any one could be upset by what I've said is if they are incompetent. That causes anger, and in return snarky comments posted out of fear.

Trust me Eric I do care.

As i said I was inspired by some Great webmasters and business owner who shared their success to the public and to small webmasters like I was.
It had a huge impact that made me work harder than ever and in a much better way for everyone.

I believe that Its better to show fishing the right way to the whole community and hope the smart ones will benefit from it, than just keep all the fish pond secrets so only the chosen ones can benefit from it.

And anyway providing guide lines and tutorial for tumblr is no danger for your own business. It even can help you by growing their volume , the trade possibilities and all the power of working in group.

Of course, in my position, the more fishermans we train, the higher are the chance for us to find find out the great whales.
