It would get abused. All you have to do is send an email to Theo/Eric and the problem is dealt with.

They already have different sections. Most of the whining happens in the "fucking around" section. They have another section for 'strictly business' or whatever it's called.

Regarding report button abuse - you can set up a limit for number of reports per person OR ignore those who abuse it. Regarding sending email - most of the people are too lazy to work for it. For example most of them got annoyed by huge sigs, but probably neither of them bothered to write email to admins.

Regarding different sections for strictly business - as you see it does not work, most business threads are being posted in main forum. And there is no negative things about "biz" prefix. It gives added value if you want to filter through shit and adds no negative value to those that like main forum as it is, since it won't change. You can even make that prefix not visible and only work for those who want to filter threads.

My guess is... if you're not motivated enough to write an email, which takes you all of one minute, to report an abuse or someone breaking the rules. Then it's not important enough to require MOD intervention.



As for your second point. I think that most looking for BIZ ONLY and those who are actually IN this business full time moved over the XBIZ. If you look at GFY on any given day you will find the vast majority of those posting are hobbyists, beer money barons, or angry folk who washed out of the adult industry. Now they just troll this place to fill up their bitter little lives. Many have said as much.

The vast majority of those who are in this business full time readily admit they still read GFY, but no longer post or participate any longer. They have been saying this for years at the conferences, and have said this on this or other forums as well.

GFY still has it's entertainment value. But true business threads to bullshit are something like 1 in 100 or something. I do not think any sort of labeling is going to put the genie back into the bottle in that regard.

Exactly. Or just limit number of reports, say 3 reports in one month max. That would solve the problem. And no mods won't be flooded with reports that way. Plus there would be only few abusive reporters - you can easily deal with them.

Make an experiment, take first page and try to sort out biz threads. It will take you at least hundreds of seconds to determine which threads are biz. With my suggested feature it would take a second.
