:mad So Exo Click

I never tried them before.
Deposited $50 for a small test.
Punched in my website details which is a Webcamwiz WL.

And I get "Rejected"
So I email them and get
Your campaign ID 212943 had been temporarily rejected because we need more information about it .

- Are you the owner of http://bbwnudewebcam.com/ ? If yes, please provide us with clear evidence (e.g Whois).
- Are you already promoting it in other adnetworks? if yes can you mention them?
- Which kind of product it is exactly?
- If you are an affiliate, what is your affiliation program and how can your convertions be tracked with this URL?

So I reply that yes I own it why the fuck would I pay you to put up ads if I didn't???
It's none of your business who I do business with
What kind of product is it? Is that a serious question??
It's again none of your business who I'm affiliated with and how my conversions are tracked.

So I get another email ..

Sorry blah blah blah

Your campaign ID 212943 had been temporarily rejected because we need more information about it .

- Are you the owner of http://bbwnudewebcam.com/ ? If yes, please provide us with clear evidence (e.g Whois).
- Are you already promoting it in other adnetworks? if yes can you mention them?
- Which kind of product it is exactly?
- If you are an affiliate, what is your affiliation program and how can your convertions be tracked with this URL?

So I tell them this is stupid just refund my $50 and I'll spend it elsewhere.

Now 6 emails later they still haven't refunded me.
I filed a dispute through paypal.
They will not post comments in paypal. They just keep emailing me back asking me to close the dispute.

WTF... It's $50
Send it back, The dispute gets closed and they can then proceed to go fuck themselves for all I care.

So they have a verification process for who they're selling traffic to, you should fucking thank them for this.

Retard.

that's more to prevent rogue advertisers running malware, not sure it's effective
but in my case I just hit reply, answered their questions and they approved me

Verifying the site is enough. They don't need to know which other ad networks you use or how you track your sales.

Verifying advertisers is a good idea, but it should be a smooth process. Exoclick is dropping the ball here. They lost a client. They're getting bad publicity and they're drawing negative attention to their Paypal account.

Lol so retarted. Also when it comes to verification against malware only way to do it properly is to do repeated check of all buyer domains regardless are they trusted or not, since trusted domains can be hacked and serve malware anyway.

Hi keysync,

So I'll try to give an answer to all your comments.

1- Indeed, we have a strict validation process in place for new campaigns, especially for new advertisers with whom we don't have any history. We understand this is annoying and probably frustrating but is absolutely necessary to protect our publishers of fraudulent campaigns. We detect and block malicious campaigns on a daily basis.

2- The questions you were asked are meant to profile you as an advertiser and make sure that you are running a legit business. It's comparable to any KYC process that many companies run. Again, I understand some questions might seem indiscreet but they help us understand if you are an affiliate, or a program owner, how your product works, so we can check your campaigns make sense, etc... We also whitelist domains once we could make sure 100% that they are safe.

3- Once you open a dispute with Paypal, we can't refund it. The money is put on hold by Paypal and we don't control it. That's why our support asked you to close the dispute, so we can process the refund. If you don't, Paypal will proably end up refuding you the money, but it will be faster if you close the dispute and allow us to refund.

In any case, I understand you had a bad experience and I'll forward this to our support to make sure we improve things.

Cheers. Benja.

They lost someone who couldn't take 5 seconds to reply to an email yet took the time to bitch about it on GFY. Easily could have answered their questions in the same amount of time and all of this would be avoided.

Actually,
I'm on my 6th email to them to resolve this problem.
That's 5 too many as far as I'm concerned.
I don't honestly know exactly how the paypal thing works but this is in the directions when you go to close a dispute
Remember, a closed dispute cannot be re-opened or escalated to a claim with PayPal. Make sure that you are 100% satisfied with the outcome of this dispute before you close it.

For example, if the seller is offering a refund, wait until the funds are in your PayPal account before closing this dispute.

So....

I don't blame you. Some people would say you should close the dispute and just trust them to refund your $50 but why isn't it the opposite where they should pay you and then trust you to close the dispute instead? Some companies need to rethink some of these little games they play with people. If they would have refunded the money right away instead of being cute there would be no dispute.

Both excoclick and the OP handled this poorly. Exoclick's question aren't going to stop malicious advertisers and the OP's paypal dispute after only a few days is just retarded.

So. I decided to close the dispute to see what would happen.
Benja refunded the money directly afterwards while we were chatting on icq.

Pain in the ass for sure but they did refund it and it is over.
Here's a nice gif for your troubles.

The only way you'd be on your fifth email is if you're beating around the bush and probably being an asshole versus just answering their questions.

That's not always true. I went five replies with some host once who wanted to verify my ID. I sent them various DL's, passports, voter's registration, vehicle titles, etc. each time they asked until I eventually told them to fuck off. After three replies it was clear the rep was just fucking with me and wasting my time on purpose. In response as payback I started a 500 reply thread on a major webhosting forum about it to try to cost them business.
