Subject: Response to False Accusations - HIV incident of an adult industry performer


Manwin and some of its online properties have recently been falsely accused by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) as well as by other organizations in relation to possible HIV exposure of an adult industry performer. The AHF statement is an unacceptable attempt to undermine the reputation of our producers through the publication of false information.
Our attorneys have sent the AHF a formal request demanding an immediate retraction.

More specifically, at no time did ?Patient A? perform or provide any services for any of our producers after any test results were disclosed reflecting even the possibility of HIV exposure or infection. This fact is well documented and proves that the industry testing process precisely works as it should.

In addition, ?Performer A? has never worked for Brazzers.com. The performer in question has performed for a separate website known as Mofos.com.

No jackasses, the testing process is supposed to stop the spread of HIV. In this case 13 performers are at risk because some asshole performer doesnt care about other peoples safety.

Well the original rumour was that it was on a Brazzers set, not on a Manwin set. So if they got that part wrong, how could you possibly assume that the false positive stuff was true?

Sounds like one big case of someone who heard it from someone who heard it from someone. That's never accurate.

While they may or may not technically be the same company this kind of denial on a technicality is exactly the type of stuff which could get them a lot of negative mainstream attention when combined with the original HIV story. Bloggers just love to eat a company alive when it appears they might be bullshitting or spinning things and threatening the little guy with lawsuits over it.

Now other than this - about the accusations - if they really are false then I'm glad Manwin is speaking out. But I don't think the technicality above looks very good at all. I'll be interested to hear the full explanation from someone at Manwin if they will be providing it.
