Motorola is a sinking ship.. Their products have been garbage for years imo.. Google could whip them into serious shape though, so I see this as a good thing for mobility devices in the future.. Then again it's a double edge sword.. Yet one more way for Google to get its hands on your personal information.. eat your heart out conspiracy theorists..

i am not sure why this makes a difference, they already have access through Android whereever it's installed. Also right now almost all Motorola phones come with Android, the only change is that they also will design the hardware - but that has nothing to do with your personal information. i think.

Motorola has turn things around and being that they've been in the mobile communications business, they have a patent portfolio that will basically squash any and all patent disputes with their competitors. That is what they are ultimately paying for here. The well known name brand hardware is actually secondary.
