    Hey Webair! Thanks for making me look bad to a BIG Client!

    this has been just a cluster fuck from setting up the account to trying to get the site transferred from the old host to the new which has taken since OCTOBER of you billing my client for a server they cant even use because your guys cant get the transfer right and the lack of communication from my rep as well as support.

    Serves me right trying to host a multi million dollar company with you guys

    you guys have really made me look like shit to my client

    way to go

          Yes i had similar case lost 90 gb of client data due to webair slowness.But it wasnt their fault only it was mine too so it's 50%/50% ;)

                                              I don't know about Webair, I had an account with them some time ago and for what I paid, it was OK, nothing to complain about. But lately I'm noticing a tendency on hosting companies to suck and suck and suck harder, mainly when it comes to customer support. And I'm talking some of the biggest adult hosting companies, not some fly by night. Won't give any names, but it's a very worrying tendency.

                                              Right now I'm dealing with a very known hosting company that in a (quite legit) effort to secure their servers for my client did such a mess they don't have a fucking idea what they did. When requesting support, it takes 24 hours or more (no exception to this rule) and only one guy knows something, everybody else is a fucking ignorant. It's such a retarded thing that I need to PROVE them basic things like PHP commands (they seem to not know a single one), apache installation, basic server architecture and such.

                                              Problem is they not only are ignorant, they argue based on their ignorance so you need to provide them with documentation on the subject. Needless to say I'm learning a lot trying to explain them why they're wrong! Long story short, I was dealing with these guys for 3 (three) months and basically had to rebuild the server because the owner didn't want to delete anything (he has an active site) and he didn't want to change hosting. I'd have said goodbye 3 months ago, sooner or later that crap will explode.

                                              The sad part is this is becoming more and more common between hosting companies: 1 supervisor that knows his work and stays like 3 hours a day and a bunch of idiots who barely know how to turn on a computer, things similar to the above happened to me 3 times in one year, very serious issues, always on dedicated managed servers. One of the (very known) companies even stole 2 hard disks from us!

                                                  yeah, thats true I get your point. But in this case, normally people post about needing a web host and you'll see responses talking about different companies. I haven't seen to many replies from people on these negative webair ones saying anything good about them.

                                                          just to expand on chris's point, i've been a happy webair customer for years now, and i click on and read almost every 'webair sucks' post i come across. mainly for lulz and drama (and it never fails to amuse) but i rarely ever post my satisfaction in them for multiple reasons.

                                                          the whole 'webair sucks' thing is a bandwagon people love to jump on as soon as they can

                                                            Never had a hosting problem that he couldn't fix.
                                                            If you have a serious client, go straight to Gerard.
                                                            Messing around with tier 1 support at any company is an error.

                                                                        I do however have every major adult hosting company's vice president and president's cell phone contact on my phone so that if I ever have a SERIOUS issue I know who to call.

                                                                        I dont post unprofessional messages dragging down my hosting company on a public message board when I have an issue come up.
