sports nutrition / muscle building niche...

Are people still making money from the fitness supplements industry?

I often hear about how competitive it is but surely there is still money to be made from new brands entering the market? "according to NHS figures, the 2009 UK dietary supplement market was worth £676m" (menshealth.co.uk).

any one hear promoting this niche, if so what are your thoughts?

There is money in sports nutrition and weight loss though you just have to come at this with a angle that targets a particular group who would be likely to buy the products....

This product has been working well for me http://aslimlife.bodybyvi.com/ So if you join up then you have to think...OK, How to pitch it to <insert target group> and then you create a site and some content that that group would appeal to.

Also find group or interest groups where weight is a big issue...Actors and actresses is an example...So creating ads and posting it on sites that they visit would work...

Girls also want to look sexy for dating...so posting ads on a dating site would work.

More or less, anyone who knows that their body shape is the key to success is going to take a look and eventually buys.

So, who is going to make money with me by doing this?

I've been a beachbody coach for over a year, I'm doing ok with it. Takes a little more work to get a sale than just posting a banner though.

i agree mr pheer. a mate of mine is a personal trainer and we have just set up a site (patrickhargravefitness.com) where the brand will pretty much be built around him, but we would also feature product reviews for fitness supplements and the like.

it is a bit of a long winded approach but its more quality driven and seems to be what G wants these days...
