This is super normal for mfc cam girls. Mfc it allows models to send guys to other sites or do skype shows (supposedly paid with mfc tokens so mfc takes half still), and so if the model site it changes (for any reason, including no reason and girl simply wished do it) it make sense the gils say please boicott old site. This happens daily whem models change the studio/manager/pimp and re-register with a new name, of course if old studio/manager/pimp's site it was in the bio page or overlay on stream, that will be boicotted later, along with twitter-like freedom of speech drama (which makes traffic = money as every gossip does).

Most other cam sites such as streamate, livejasmin etc. does not allow to talk about any models site, so the model will not tell of her site first and not to boicott it later. It is like arab countries before of revolution.
