Cat owners: question

I have a huge problem with local cats in my backyard. They are pissing all over, often inside holes for ventilation of my car. That means that I need to smell piss,while i am driving. This is terrible, and they are also sleeping on car roof (convertible with soft roof) and often,cats are sharping claws on it.

I am trying to somehow catch them and drive far away so I've bought human trap and until now, not a single cat was caught.

Don't ask me how..they manage to run away or even eat food inside without closing trap (last night they had potatoes and beef and when I went out to see what is going on, there was a cat sitting near trap with her stomach full..just looking at me).

So, while I am trying to catch them somehow, I should at least try to make them avoid my space an d I was thinking to put something that they don't like and can be outside.

So, questions is: Are there some smells they don't like ?

I assume you know they are not pet cats - It would be a shame if you drove some old ladies best friend into the bush never to be seen again...

Try one of those really big pet stores - They have a repellent that will keep them away.....

grab some lion/tiger or other large feline poo from your nearest zoo, make it into a liquid and spray it around the perimeter of your property. This method works 100% tried and tested.

Nope, they are not owned by anyone. just wild cats browsing around and making problems, jumping on cars,pissing around, fucking loud, etc. I was already in some pet store and when Ive told them that I want to use it outside, they told me there is no help in that case.

I am preparing tuna for them tonight...fuck,I am looking at video surveilance, one just jumped on car cover to check it out.

If the cat repellent isn't available locally (you're in Serbia, right?) can you order online? I used some for a cat that was using my garden as a litterbox and killing the birds that come to my feeders, it seemed to work. Forget the brand tho.

Yes, we in Serbia don't have even what it takes for people (soap,shampoo,toothpaste..), and most of us don't even eat every day, so I guess there are no animal repellents available and if they are there, people probably buy it quickly and use to wash dishes. Of course, everything when making a pause after eating small children and raping innocent women.(what else Serbs do when there is no war available,right). I mean, asking me can I order it online is really rude when you take everything into consideration.

Anyway, I've just found dozen different products and will order them right now, I hope they will be here on monday, so I will combine crystals , gelee and spray .

I have had a huge problem with feral cats for a few years now so I totally understand.

I actually managed to get a cat catcher who took away the babies (they were a couple of weeks old) and rehomed them. The female cat was then neutered and after that the number of cats dropped considerably.
I didn't realise but the male cats follow the female cat around (looking for sex). Females can have several litters each year which of course adds to the problem.

Getting the female neutered is the best solution.

I tried all sorts of smelly things, spikes, water. The lion stuff, ultosonic but none of it works.

The lady that caught the cats used a trap which was left out overnight. Don't expect instant results they are pretty cunning.

You arent setting your trap right. You want the trigger to be barely engaged on the center plate... file it smooth if you have to, so it doesnt snag. Those traps work great but sometimes they need a little work.

it is crazy, cats are so cautious that even if sometimes they can't find entrance in trap, but they are so gentle that putting food on spike on trigger, didn't help. Once, trap closed but cat managed to run away backward in a half of second or less.
