He is making a difference all right, but what exactly and for whom still remains a mystery.
Don't be put off my nick however, I chose it for contrast. Instead, how about noticing that AK was posting like crazy just a page or two ago, replying to my posts within practically minutes and now last two are left totally ignored. Why?
I think that he simply has nothing to say about the fact that major hosts are working as they used to and may be even better than before, other than admit that he had done absolutely nothing on a global scale of things, which he'd never do.
Regarding Payza, AK most likely is trying to take credit for something he has nothing to do with just to make you guys be all like "WOW" and send him more money.Comment

For those who were wondering, however this has been said many times before, the reason we cut small sites off at the knees is because if we don't cut them down they become big sites.
Oron, FileFactory, BitShare, ExtaBit, UltraMegaBit, Rapidgator etc were all once small sites. The trouble is nobody was around killing file lockers off when they started, so they became big and are now problems that we are doing our best to clean up.
We kill little sites because that stops them becoming bigger, it's that simple.
As for our regular anti contributors to this thread. We've all been very busy lately, so replying to the continual trash spouted by pirates and their sympathizers has been a low priority, in fact we're just not going to engage in it any longer.Comment
-
Where have I ever done that?
There's of loads of things I do that you could criticise me for, so no need to just make shit up because you can't proffer a counterpoint to my post.Comment

Unless I was misinformed, Paypal's management ceased payment services to all file hosting companies last month (November). I've heard Payza, Moneybookers, CCBill, and Paxum will or have cloned paypal's anti file hosting policy.
If this information is correct, what exactly is it you are doing?
You've never responded to a question I inquired some time ago. Are donations to the Stop File Lockers fund tax deductible? Be mindful of my knowledge of 2013 Australian tax law and tax evasion.Comment

HotFile.com has shut down.
Some of you may remember that we had Hotfile terminated by Paypal (something the MPAA couldn't achieve), which put a significant dent in their profitability. That combined with the MPAA case and further pressure on their credit card processing ability meant that they just could not keep operating.Comment

Exactly my thoughts, good job!HotFile.com has shut down.

What exactly did you do there? Hotfile shutting down was not your doing as far as I know, it was MPAA.HotFile.com has shut down.

If you read back through this thread, you will know that we took Paypal away from Hotfile. What exactly did you do there? Hotfile shutting down was not your doing as far as I know, it was MPAA.

This put a massive dent in their profitability. It was the beginning of the end.
The combination of the MPAA case and the loss of revenue sources caused their demise.Comment

This was the beginning of the end of Hotfile.
Today we achieved what hollywood, the MPAA, the RIAA and every other anti piracy organisation in the world couldn't.
Hotfile no longer has Paypal.

Read about our findings on Hotfile here:
http://stopfilelockers.com/hotfile-t...ted-by-paypal/
Many of our critics questioned why we weren't doing anything about Hotfile. The fact is we were always looking at Hotfile, however as has been the case with all of our targets, we do not divulge details of operational matters.
We are looking at many many sites, as our resources are limited we shift our priorities and try to keep a manageable workload.
Losing Paypal is a gigantic blow to any site. It is by far the most widely accepted and trusted payment system on the net other than credit cards. The reason why Kim Dotcom chose Paypal for Mega resellers was because of it's widespread acceptance.
There will be more terminations, more pressure placed on pirates and our aim is to ensure that commercial piracy has no economic safe haven.Comment

Thanks for responding to my inquiry Mr. King.
Having clients content pirated too, a hearty tax deductible $350 reoccurring monthly paypal donation to your cause would have been beneficial. It's apparent your narcissistic personality disorder surfaces when reading statements from potential contributors that question your business motives, especially tax inquiries.
I am not one to dance around the Mulberry bush Mr. King. I find it highly suspicious accepting donations without transparent documented receipts of where and how those monies are being implemented.
You've left me no alternative but to become a dick and contact the Australian Taxation office for verification or your tax legitimacy. I will conduct a followup phone call to the taxation office in two weeks.

Contributions to the project are not tax deductible in Australia as we are not a charity.
Fees paid for representation however are business expenses and as such are tax deductible. Those with representation agreements in place would already be aware of this.Comment

Odd the MPAA aren't thanking you for the immense help you made in their case.HotFile.com has shut down.

Unless, of course, they got them shut down and didn't view the removal of paypal as in the least bit significant in their case?Comment

Rapidgator
As many of you know, Rapidgator is a recurring problem to rights holders and to those of you who protect them, send DCMA's etc.
Rapidgator are one of the worst sites when it comes to the re-appearance of previously removed files. We need to chop them off at the knees, but ??.
We now need your help
We would appreciate it if you could send copies of your Rapidgator DMCA notices to [email protected]
This is very important. If you send a DMCA to Rapidgator then please cc it to us at the email address provided above.
The more evidence we collect the better, however please do not send copies of DMCA's that provide links to other hosts.
But I already send my DMCA's to Copy Control, why another address ?
Many of you send copies of DMCA notices to [email protected] and we would like you to keep doing that. However for the purposes of this phase of evidence collection we need a dedicated mailbox for only receiving Rapidgator DMCA's
Questions ?
If you have questions please contact us https://copycontrol.org/contact-us/Comment

What about the Filefactory case? Didn't you want to send you also all Filefactory DMCA notices to a separate email address? I can remember that you posted similar things about Filefactory about 2 months ago... Now I can't see any impact in their business. In fact, they expanded it and launched a public file search and usenet access for dumb users who were not able to find files there.Comment

I enjoy posting links relating to this thread. Anyone interested that has issues with Certain Parties from the US state of Ohio may want to read this 1.
http://www.ohiolegalservices.org/pub...g/qandact_view
It seems Ohio has a fairly liberal anti-stalking/menacing law!
Ohio Legal Services also has a keen interest in those committing these types of acts online, interstate, and internationally that have previous convictions of any type. Please HELPComment

OTEUpload.com will be gone by the end of the year.
They now have no payment processing and are deleting files as the number of servers they can support decreases. There are also other financial issues in play regarding this site.
Affiliates / Uploaders have been promised payment at the end of the year, however on our analysis this is a "milk it for all it's worth then close down" tactic.
In the next few days we'll be working on their web hosting arrangements.Comment

does anyone have a list of the filelockers that say they pay for views/downloads?

Here's a simple solution for you.
Don't allow links to any file locker. It doesn't matter if it's pay per view , pay per download or not. It's more than likely that if people on your forum are sharing content then they are not sharing content that they have a license to distribute.Comment

Just some unsuccessful ones, so he decided to change into the IP protection business (oh sorry, charity
), after he got some experience with DMCA and failed with own sites
But it seems, that he turned them already offline after it went into public:
You can read the following comments, where AK states that these were "legal" tubes, whatever it means...Hey Robert,
How many tube sites do you own actually?
jizzload.com
cool name. private registration info.
pornobug.com
Cute name. Too bad it's Private
oh wait. that's weird. They both use the same DNS servers. I wonder who owns those?
so you don't pursue tubesites because? Oh yeah. It's called 'stopfilelockers'. Wouldn't have to do with the fact that you've been paid from the tubesites, and you own tubesites though? That jizzload domain sounds really familiar. I wonder 'who' you bought that from. ;)
This seems to be quite common in the IP protection industry that pirates found anti piracy companies - maybe directly charging rightholders is more profitable than profiting from piracy
