Twin peaks Season 3: Ending scene [spoiler alert] etc etc

Right so i had all the new episodes recorded and quickly within a few nights watched them all in time for the finale episode which aired just recentry. Being Twin Peaks the series was wild, weird and wacky in the way Twin Peaks always has been.

The ending not surprisingly left me thinking wtf ?!?!?

Spoiler alert:

Clearly a "laura" call heard at 1 min 50 secs.

I guess we will get Season 4 after all. Anyone know how the ratings did in 'Merica ?? :)

I'm yet to see a great deal of episodes but I don't mind getting spoiled (it might actually save me some time) ...

the season was filled with PAINFUL filler and bullshit mixed with a little brilliance and some old characters. any wtf moments were not limited to the ending alone. I spent most of the season honestly believing Lynch was just trolling his fans. Maybe he was. The whole 'story' could have been summed up in 2 episodes yet there were 18. Just an example of how much filler I'm talking about.

Lynch hasn't commented on a Season 4. We're just as likely to get one as not.

As for the WTF, I'm there with you. I've been spending a lot of time in the TwinPeaks subreddit for help getting through this and processing wtf I saw.

There's lots of theories there - some of them are even good :)

Think the Season 2 ending was maybe slightly more weird and freaked out than Season 3. But only just...

Season 2's ending weirded me out. It's possible that was caused by Lynch only doing part of the season... but... who knows.

I need to delve back into the Secret History of Twin Peaks, though I don't honestly know if it will be any help. The director in the AMA said Lynch never read it. It's all Frost's work. And the upcoming Dossier about Twin Peaks (to follow Season 3) also was written by Frost with no input by Lynch.

There's a thought that Ep 17 was Frost's ending (to tie in with the mythology built into Twin Peaks) and Ep 18 was Lynch's (to fuck with everyone) :)

i watched season 1 that show sucks ass

PR_Glen 09-13-2017 11:47 AM

what made the show originally was Audrey, Cooper and the ongoing investigation. This season had 95% no Audrey, a weak character arc with Cooper with amnesia as well as a dull doppelganger and no investigation, or at least not one that made any sense in the least--definitely no crime to solve or real mystery other than the weird happenings.

I had to go to youtube just to make sense of anything that was going on, and even then the people doing those plot explanations and breakdowns had a hard time trying to put all that crap together. I wouldn't even bother with reddit. reddit is one comment mixed with 15 versions of the same bad joke on that one comment, mixed with a pissing match. Any good ideas get buried and lost but the bad jokes and the troll comments go to the top in every section.

Weird :party-smi

Yah, that's Lynch back. And we pick up Season 3 following THAT Cooper. The good Coop (who investigated Laura's dead) was trapped in the lodge.

Bob gave me such horrible nightmares.

I wasn't a big fan of this show

Paul Markham 09-14-2017 05:12 AM

I watched the first episode and thought What was that about? Then deleted the rest. Pissed off after collecting all the episodes to binge watch.
