Totally does. I learnt all this doing mainstream email for many years before applying it to porn. The main difference is learning the different words to avoid when writing copy for adult emails.

I just sent out an Email newsletter and unlike others before it, it contained the word FUCK.

Open rate dropped from 40% to 1.76% and for the first time ever, Gmail put it into my spam box which it has never done before.
