Anthem giggle by Canadian singer gets Justin Smoak?s attention before all-star game
Blue Jays infielder did not look impressed after Jocelyn Alice let out a giggle during her performance of the Canadian national anthem.
Canadian singer-songwriter Jocelyn Alice had a very public flub at a very public baseball game Tuesday evening, catching not only the attention of baseball fans, but also of Toronto Blue Jays infielder Justin Smoak. And for everyone but Alice, it was nothing to giggle about. Alice was performing ‘O Canada’ in the opening ceremonies at the MLB All-Star Game at Marlins Park in Miami. shit, i missed that.
Smoak got shit on for the most part the past 2 years in toronto because his average was often pretty low and he struck out far too much so fans just seem to do fan type things and complained HEAVILY when they re-signed him for 4 mil a year. He has since flourished this season turning things around and despite having all those jeers towards him still seems to be not only loyal to his team and fans, but also the country he plays in. It's an impressive show of character in a sport that often tends to be lacking. Also, I deplore anyone who wails away any national anthem. Do it right, do it without your 'flair' and always be respectful.
