It is the Republican controlled House and Senate that is investigating the Donald not Democrats. It is a Republican controlled Justice Department that is investigating the Donald not Democrats.

Why then is it then that you Republicans on this board blame Democrats for trying to bring the Donald down? That is a rhetorical question as I think I know the answer but feel free to answer if you care to.

here are facts. the GOP is investigating RUSSIA...not trump. they are looking into what the russians did as far as hacking.

if there was anything criminal to find, obama's moles woulda spilled the dirt by now. all they could muster was, flynn bullshitted his bosses & the FBI. thats it.

I am not a "lib". They are investigating "Russia" in general with multiple aspects involved in the investigation, other than just hacking.

In addition we may already know that there is a connection between the Donald and Russia because his son said this, "Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets" and this “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.” as has been reported.

where's the crime? obama wiretaps that allegedly dont exist, but recorded flynn, haven't found anything. obama released NSA raw intel, allegedly to protect intel regarding trump & russia...where's this smoking gun?

why would you even count on GOP investigations to take down trump. somehow you think GOP is going to be "fair" after loretta lynch? LOL.

You asked "where's the crime?", that is one of the reasons there are multiple investigations going on. Some of which, it is being reported, may take a year or more to conclude.

We need to have independent committees conducting these investigations. This needs to be way above politics.

With Hillary Clinton, the Republican party relentlessly investigated her for no reason other than a political witch hunt. Benghazi was a terrorist attack that we didn't see coming and nothing we could have done would have changed the outcome. With the emails we knew it wasn't illegal to send classified information via a private server; In fact, this was common at the highest levels of government and ONLY Clinton was investigated.

Now we have Nunes in charge of investigating Trump. He is in charge of investigating Trump's campaign, Trump's transition team, and Trump's administration... Nunes was on the transition team - He is in charge of investigating himself. One of the highest presidential advisers - Flynn - has already resigned, and we not even two months in and already knee deep in a scandal that might end with the President being impeached.

I agree about "independents" but I have serious doubts that a Republican controlled government is going to approve that idea and relinquish control.

The FBI & NSA are the investigations that matter. They have more tools than the House or the Senate but we will never hear anything about their investigation until it's completed. The FBI has field agents and the NSA has the data.. The House Senate depend on hearings and getting info from others..

When the FBI's is completed we still wont hear anything about it before people are handcuffed and carted away assuming their is guilt. If it goes that far we likely wont get much info until the cases start hitting the courts.. They wont want to give away their case before a trial.

The only way we will see much before a trial out of the FBI investigation is if there was nothing found like with Hillary's investigation.

Basically the only investigations the public will see much of is the House & Senate. I don't think much will happen with either of these other than when the FBI's is over if they find crimes were committee they will likely give that info to the House/Senate to potentially push for resignation or impeachment..

Basically House & Senate are the public fluff shows, the real info will come from the FBI & NSA.. Not to mention the Congress investigations are about "Russian hacking" which Trump crosses into.. but the FBI investigation is on Trump & his admin.. Major difference..

It is my suspicion that the FBI investigation will take the longest of all of the investigations and the Director would not put a time frame of any kind on it. If history tells us anything it is that these kind of investigations can take multiple years untill they are concluded or discontinued with out a conclusion, which is often the case.

I don't think it's going to take years to investigate.

Trump was on the FBI's radar in 2013 when they tapped Trump Tower to sting the Russian mob, they had stuff on Trump then but didn't prosecute, though they arrested 30 monsters from Trump Tower
