      In both Michigan and Ohio, Republicans drew voting maps after the 2010 census and largely achieved their goal of locking in the gains they had made in the 2010 elections. But the lower courts had ruled that they had violated the 1st and 14th Amendment rights of voters by drawing districts to achieve certain political outcomes.
      In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

                          No.. the courts forced it to be redrawn because the Republicans illegally gerrymandered the districts. Republicans got a injunction from a higher court to try and over rule the lower court. Republiocans are trying to drag it out to tie it up until 2020 so they can then claim it's not fair to redraw so close to the election..

                              You're the one who is not understanding, because you get all of your news from Fox. Republicans are the ones who drew the districts in their favor to rig elections. Dems are trying to make it fair. You're so uninformed you don't even know what the fuck gerrymandering is and which party perpetrates it constantly once they get in charge of a legislature.
