I did not know they were in Beta! lol
I used to push traffic over 10 years ago, it kicked ass before the tubes..

i used to make good money and had tons of rebills with them since 2002-03, but at some point in 2011 new sales stopped and rebills disappeared...

Thanks you just reminded me to switch my links to the beta.

I heard Peter A. say somewhere that TILL 2011 they had only seen growth... 2011 as the first year of decline since the history of the company... Don't know how it goes since then...

Beta doesn't even work with Nifty Stats.

We just ran a campaign with them that SLAYED on their new Kink Unlimited platform. Congrats to them on the switch and consolidation.

It's missing a lot of features from the old program, though, including basic functionality like viewing a payment history that's just not there.

All of my recent sales have come from the Kink Unlimited.

Hey All - Glad you have noticed some of the big changes taking place over here at Kink. The big uptick in sales you are experiencing could be based on two things:

1. Your rebills from our NATS programs are being moved over to the new platform and will be visible on your stats in Beta.
2. You are promoting a product that is kicking ass and converting much better than the past.

We have spent over a year getting the new product and affiliate platforms up and running. As of August 1, we are 100% migrated and everyone is starting to reap the rewards of this hard work! So proud of the team here!

All that being said, we are still pushing vigorously to make sure that we get you all the bells and whistles you are used to, so bear with us and feel free to reach out to [email protected] so we can help you with your individual issues and help you get set up on the new platform. Forkbeard - the payment history is there, just click on "my account" and see the payments. Is this not working for you? I checked myself and I see them.

Biggest note: You do not have to update your links. We have worked extensively to make sure that your NATS links will track to your new account! So, feel free to start using the new link tools in Beta, but don't stress about your old links getting lost!

Matt you've always been awesome to me and I'm not here to break your balls on GFY. But in the face of that cheery assertion, I do need to warn people it's not quite that simple. I have affiliate links going back to 2004 or so and not all of them are working under the new design. There are also some sites that don't seem to be included in the new program at all (like 3D Kink) where the links still appear to work but it's unclear how or whether the traffic will be tracked once the old kinkydollars is phased out. And let's not even talk about links to Pissing.com, which all broke when you apparently sold off or licensed that content to Kenny's Pennies -- something I still would not know about if they hadn't sent me a newsletter about it.

One set of links that's broken are the old links to model profiles. They've been broken since June of 2015 when the redesign began. On June 17, 2015 you personally wrote to me:

There's another category of links that's 404ing for me that I haven't tracked down solidly enough yet to file a support ticket about, so no blame on these -- you can't fix what you haven't been told about. These all date to 2009 or so. I'll go file a support ticket about them now that this thread has reminded me.

So, yeah, people. The new KinkDollars Beta program really is quite awesome. But if you've got a huge base of old installed links, you do need to check them and you'll find that rather a lot of them need fixed.

Hey, Matt. After responding to your earlier post this sort of turned into my day to deal with unresolved Kink.com issues, so I've filed a number of support requests following up on old issues and started to inventory the mess of broken links in my archive of 15k blog posts. I've known since the migration of everything into channels at Kink.com from the individual domains that I had a considerable mess of broken links on my hands, but running my mouth this morning without having good specifics was an uncomfortable feeling, so I have been doing an inventory ever since. Really your comment that the migration was complete was the trigger for me to check to see if various broken things had ever gotten fixed.

One of my support tickets opened today was about a group of older-style NATS links that begin with aff. instead of www. That style was in use for a few years starting in 2008 or so, and some of them (especially sex and submission and ultimate surrender links) are going 404 instead of mapping through to the new channels. The same link style is working fine for some of the other channels, but there are still a lot of broken links on my sites due to this. Hopefully support will be able to get them fixed.

I also ran though the vintage KinkyDollars link generating interface to try and inventory broken stuff. Some of the reasons behind the breakage are obvious (sites that are replaced to some degree by the Kink Unlimited product) but the recommended affiliate URLs and my base of installed links are in many cases going 404 instead of redirecting, properly or otherwise. Sites affected include:

3D Kink (affiliate links in vintage KinkyDollar interface appear to still work; site is not present as a channel on Kink.com so future sales tracking in Beta interface is unclear)

Free Hardcore (affiliate links in vintage KinkyDollar interface are 404; site itself redirects to Kink.com front page)

Kink Archive (never was a salable product due to lack of navigation links or search functionality, restricting surfers to content recent enough to page through -- affiliate links in vintage KinkyDollar interface are 404, site itself redirects to Kink.com front page)

Kink Forums (affiliate links in vintage KinkyDollar interface are redirecting to main Kink.com page and not to the current forums)

Kink Men Archive (affiliate links in vintage KinkyDollar interface are 404, site itself redirects to Kink.com front page)

Kink On Demand (most recent format affiliate links in vintage KinkyDollar interface are all 404, site itself redirects to Kink.com front page. Older-format installed affiliate links are a mixed bag, at least some of them appear to take surfers to the correct shoot in the kink.com product.)

Pissing.com (affiliate links in vintage KinkyDollar interface redirect to a 404 page at the PissingHD site operated by Kenny's Pennies, presumably without credit for the traffic; older-format affiliate links are the regular 404)

I will put in one more support ticket now with this information now that I've compiled it; this isn't the thread for worrying about that. But I wanted to include it here as part of the "you do not have to update your links" discussion.

It seems there is an issue with encoded links since a day or 4. it seems not all (none?) of the encoded link traffic gets counted atm (we had a 70% drop in traffic 4 days ago) . switching to unencoded seems to have helped solve it (though i am not that happy with this solution)
and what Forkbeard said is correct, some old links were broken entirely and gave a 404

Support is slow on the response :/, its a pain not having skype/icq for quick questions

Still overal the numbers are a lot better then they were :P

@KinkMatty is there also a place to check how close you are to the next payment? i only see the payments that are send not a current balance anywhere? (or am i overlooking something?)

Don't most programs have that issue? After moving their conversion really went up a lot.
Before moving it was as bad as 1:10.000 now we are below 1:1000 (1:700 for this month)
I hope they fix the link issues, but they really seem to be worth promoting atm

Hey TBFS... If you have any issues please let me know. I stumbled in here and saw the thread and see some of the comments referring to stats and whatnot. NATS has all this stuff and more I'm sure that could be easily setup for your affiliates.

True that. I filed four different support requests with [email protected] last Thursday. Three full business days later (well, OK, they still have two hours in California before it's three full business days) I haven't gotten any sort of response from a human to any of those support requests.

I hope you can convince matty/kink to use nats, its definitly a lot more usefull stat wise :D

how do I change over to beta? I've noticed that not a single hit has been registered for this month on the old system - that's just not right!

Its okay, worked it out in the end!!!! And the hits were counted under the new system instead.

Ha ha yes. I sent them 44k uniques last month recorded in the beta interface and they captured (or are reporting) referrers for less than 1k of those clicks.

Update for Niftystats please.....????

Until that's done, the affiliates cannot download their stats with the NiftyStats app.

I am beginning to think Kink.com is in total meltdown with respect to affiliates.

I filed those four support tickets with [email protected] on Thursday 8/25. Got no answer to any of them.

After a week on September 1 I wrote to the affiliate manager Carla Venini with a short summary of the four tickets asking "could you please advise me as to what a reasonable expectation would be on when I can expect to get some answers?"

She wrote back on September 6 apologizing for the delay, saying they were "resource-conflicted during the summer holiday", and saying "I hope you can appreciate the strain you are under on our side as we work to complete the full site migration that has been underway." You'll note this is the same migration KinkMatty told us was "complete as of August 1".

Carla went on to say "With so many moving parts, we are having to prioritize in ways that make most sense for us as a whole company, even when not necessarily ideal for individuals internally or externally."

She then gave me vague and unsatisfactory answers to two of my four tickets, and as to the other two, wrote that "I would love more details...so that I can provide more specific answers." This suggests to me that she doesn't have access to, or didn't bother to read, the actual tickets sent to [email protected].

So I responded to her (also on September 6) requesting further clarification about the two vague answers I received and copying to her the complete text of the two tickets she wanted more details about.

Crickets.

After another week, I wrote again to her on 9/14 asking for responses. That was on Wednesday. No response. I have been copying Matt Slusarenko (KinkMatty here on GFY) with this whole correspondence, but haven't heard a thing from him either.

I am coming to the conclusion that all the broken affiliate links and related problems just aren't a priority for this program. Matt was happy to come here and claim that everything was transitioned and all the old links were fine, but he utterly vanished when I started asking about all the broken links and missing content.

After reading this thread, I've decided to advertise Kink again... Actually, for 2 weeks my personal profit is about $ 200. But their "beta" version is really terrible. I don't know what the cause is, but I am blocked through i.p. I can still login via alternative networks and my account is working fine.. Of course, I've opened a ticked about the problem but still I have no answer. Indeed, their sites are much more attractive now, but the attitude to the affiliates is unchanged.

Unable to register a new account @ beta.kinkydollars.com, so... good thing it's still in beta, eh?

Has anyone been able to solve any of the problems mentioned in this thread? Some of my old links aren't tracking in beta, the rss feeds really need to be updated and more importantly, they got rid of the webmaster referral program (bummer).

I've also noticed they're late with payment this month (told it's because of holiday/current ongoing promos..)?

Hey guys, hit me up directly at this email if you have some questions about stats and traffic. I addressed a lot of this in another thread but here's responses to some of what I've seen in this one:

1. We are not skimming traffic. However in switching to the new system, we did encounter some tracking bugs. Some of which we fixed, some of which we're still working on. I won't go on to list the exact issues are there are a few, but if you contact me I will take a look at your set up and either send it to IT or tell you what needs to be done to fix things.

2. Payment issues, we had a few this month due to some internal bugs and our person in finance that handles affiliate payments was out and seriously ill. Payments have gone out and we're aware of a couple issues both in reporting stats and some from the previous import from nats that are now fixed. If you think you're owed more money or your stats seem messed up, contact me directly at the email above.

3. Kink isn't melting down, closing down, or any other kind of down. We're fixing the bugs that happen in any major transition and we're moving forward stronger than ever. The response to the unlimited platform by consumers and affiliates has been amazing. We've got a ton of great features, products, and plans for the coming year that we'll be announcing some of soon.
