sorry to hear about the paraolympics, I find it of bad taste, not right & trying to use this situation to put a stamp on drugs in the Olympics.

I think Russia has a choice to stand tall & either, say, no, this is not on & make forth to run in the ParaOlympics or, to be humble & say, correct, we, as a country is not accepted due to just a couple of drug abusers & this must stop.

My suspicion is that there's some affirmative action at play when it comes to drug testing. With all the preaching about diversity in opening ceremonies, it's much easier to pick on the Russians.

Serena makes 1980's East German shot-putters look feminine by comparison. Yet Sharapova has been banned for something that may or may not have been intentional, while Serena's integrity is never called into question. Weird.

like i said in the other thread, it's a jab from western powers @ Russia to show them they can do it. It's not a coincidence this happens only with Russia out of all countries, right after the anti-Russia propaganda went full force, the provocations along the Russian border, etc. It's all very transparent.

It is also the fact that doping is very common in Russia, I watched an interview with one coach who worked in Russia, he was surprised how in the open it was happening and that most of the coaches did not care or even suggested using that.
It is happening on the bigger scale than in most western countries, that is for sure.

I had to watch the 100m sprint finals the other day. Bolt is awesome. I may watch the Basketball finals too. But I usually like watching some of the powerlifting, even though they are probably juiced to the max, those are some impressive feats of strength.

So many strange decisions in boxing. Funny thing that even guys showing replays have no idea who won - they show mostly certain leading guy in replays between rounds, yet refs gives win to the other dude.
Or if you have a commentator who is a pro boxer commentating, he is like 50/50 in guessing who won the round etc.

Some of the weights those guys lift, there is no way they are all natural. Plenty of competitors juice, until they get caught. Steroids are widespread in almost every event, especially in a competition like weightlifting. I don't care if they juice anyways, its impressive either way.
