    Is anyone using this script on

    ...a dedicated server and if so how fast is the search. The script appears to be Sphider Plus. This site appears to be on a shared server...and seems to be a bit slow.

              It was buggy a couple of years ago. Never looked into it again.

                  I checked on the site that sells Sphider Plus and it is on their 16th version/update. I may purchase it...but I would like to first know how fast it is on a dedicated server and what size data base can it handle. It shows that you can have up to five SQL data bases.

                                      It is not my site...but yes it appears to be slow...that is why I asked if anyone uses/has used it on a dedicated server as this site appears to be on a shared server.

                                      Does it make that much of a difference...shared or dedicated...or is it dependent upon the type of server?
