i used to promote the celeb niche only from 98-2004....shortly after that point ratios have been shit and keep getting worse. i think the main reason why is that is so easy to find all the celeb stuff....everywhere. especially TMZ and youtube are having a major effect.

You really have to offer a lot of content, the freshest content, or something a bit different to compete now a days. You are not going to be able to just retread a handful of pictures and make money.

You also have more of these 'entertainment sites' or news tied into social networks. So they do not need 10 sites to get all the hot pictures and gossip. They can get it in one place.

Between competition and more people chasing the same nut, you also have advancement in offerings where they can go to a FB, MS, or similar and get it all in one place. So those with the deep pockets, bigger reach, better website can better keep visitors on one site.

Agreed, still good money in this niche but like the rest of the niches you just can't throw up a paysite with a few hundred pics in it and retain like it was 1999!!!
