fucking contractors!
I hired a crew to hang and finish drywall but they abandonned the job near the end. The guy told me he had paased the job onto some friends and he was leaving his scaffold so they could use. His friends never showed up.
Now I noticed a lot of my tools have gone missing. On top of not doing the job right his realy pissed me off. His scaffold is still there and I figured it could come in usefull to me. When he calls to get it I was gonna be like "Oh you didn't pick it up allready? I left it outside", Pretend like someone stole it and keep the scaffold for myself! What do you think i would be out of order? or a bad move for another reason? The new guys are doing a great job finishing the job, these other guys were a bunch of clowns. |

Some contractors make a bad name for the real ones.

Well this is why you always break up a contractors payment. Typically into 3 parts and if they decline that you find a different one. I also never give more than 20% down, then another 30% at some set point and the remaining 50% when the job is complete to my satisfaction.
