vote for war without reading report?

And these guys want to be President? Sorry we've already had 6 1/2 of an idiot in the White House that doesn't pay attention to anything.

Really disappoints me about McCain considering his service in Nam that he'd vote to send young men and women to go get killed and didn't even bother to take the time to read the report.

"MANCHESTER, N.H. - Sens. John McCain (news, bio, voting record) of Arizona and Sam Brownback (news, bio, voting record) of Kansas both admitted Tuesday night they voted to authorize the U.S. military invasion of Iraq without reading the formal National Intelligence Estimate in advance. "

"Both McCain and Brownback said they had received numerous briefings on the situation in Iraq before they cast their votes in 2002."

In 2002 that average security report that goes thru the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence was like 234 pages. After the vetting process by this committee the entire transcript of questions and answers would be added. so you be lucky if a single report was less than 300-400 pages. Staff briefings is the way these politicians get their info. Ask slick willy how many reports he read thru completely when he as president.

however considering you keep ignoring the actual report so you can claim that the president lied about WMD even though the authors when questioned by senator Orin Hatch iraq did have Biological weapons during the relevant time frame, i guess we can't expect any more.

Wow 400 pages? Big whoop. I could easily read that in 6-8 hours. If I was really drunk maybe 12.

By the way it was only 90 pages. My son's 6th grade book reports require reading more pages than that.

"McCain and Brownback both admitted they voted to authorize the U.S. military invasion of Iraq without reading the formal, nearly 90-page National Intelligence Estimate in advance"
