You have a Laptop cooler?

My laptop gets hot as hell and i researched these laptop cooling pads they seem to be bad. Some interfere with the intake fan on the bottom of the laptop.

I might build my own. What do you use?

I have this one:

It's so quiet that at first I was always checking to see if it was really on.

See that would conflict with my intake fan on the bottom of my laptop.
I'm just going to make one i can make a better one anyway. I'll put a fan pointing directly to where the cpu is and near the harddrive and one for the battery. These just put fans wherever they look nice and symetrical not where the components are that get hot.

Oh and mine will plug into the wall with an ac adapter u get faster fan speeds and u dont have to worry about using usb draining battery power and resources.

The internal fan on my laptop was constantly running. Since I bought the cooler, it comes on maybe once a month - if that.

If you don't block the intakes or exhausts there shouldn't be heat problems.

You might want to try cleaning out the cpu compartment/heatsink and the fan. Mine started getting pretty hot, but once I cleaned the dust out of there and put some new thermal glue on the cpu, it doesn't get hot at all.
