saw this on the news recently a group of surfers went hunting for a typhoon then rode the 30foot waves. Ive seen a scarier video though that my nephew filmed whilst sailing to dubai, they got caught up in a force 12 storm now that was scary looking, the peaks and troughs between waves were insane and the window of the cabin got cracked by a giant fish slamming into it lol

This is the opening sequence to the surf movie Billabong Odyssey. I believe that scene was shot off the coast of Mexico near the sea of Cortez on the pacific coast. The movie was all about a challenge the surf company Billabong put out a few years ago. The first person to ride a documented 100 ft wave won a huge cash prize (i think it was a million).

its that Jaws in Maui? I saw a program on that wave and the big wave surfers I think its real is a big one even for that place though
