All the RegisterFly.com haters...in here
It's been a month now. No issues. Changing your NameServer literally takes 2 seconds. The quickest out of everyone I've tried so far.
Anybody else holding some names there? Haven't really checked out the control panel.

I have over 100 names there have never lost one do to any issues on their end. I did have a few issues renewing names, but I just made a support ticket and everything worked out fine.
I think the biggest issue with all the people bitching is the fact that they don't read their damn e-mails. The e-mails explain exactly what to do when renewing a domain that needs to be transfered first.

I had MAJOR problems with the auto-renew, I was charged 4 times for each domain in one week - for 30 domains.
had to call them 5 times to refund. I have seen better. |

100's of domains and a massive amount of problems with them. They double bill, don't credit correctly, support is bad, massive problems on domain renewals and them being on time, they take over ownership of domains at times.. the list is very long.

no idea how they are now, but when i was with them, i had HUGE problems, lost over $500 worth of domains because some jealous kid emailed them saying i used a stolen credit card to buy them, so they locked my account untill i payed them the $500... if they would of just looked at my account and saw i paid for every domain with paypal... fucking assholes
lucky for me the domains wern't worth anything other then the $$$ i paid for eachi don't buy anything online unless its with paypal... i use www.namecheap.com |

RegisterFly was my second registrar I've used when I registered my second domain back in 2001. Back then, RegisterFly was a one man operation. Ridiculously slow responses and also they charged all sorts of extra features... like I needed to have nameservers registered for my domain name and the guy said it was $10 per nameserver I wanted to register. Moved over to Namecheap and GoDaddy.
Now, I own a reseller account and can get domains pretty cheap. Used the following registrars since 2001: Dotster, RegisterFly, 000Domains, Namecheap, GoDaddy, EV1Servers, and a few others that I just used to buy domains really cheap and transfer over. Out of them all, the most distinct experience I've had was with RegisterFly for worst support/features and 000Domains for the quickest responses 24/7. Just took a look at RF prices; $9.99 per com/net/org? Why go with RegisterFly when you can get cheaper domains at places like Namecheap and GoDaddy? |

assclowns do not answer "support" tickets, thier "24/7" phone system is the shits and calls go unanswered, autorenew is not working in the management template, and they did not refund overcharges. thankfully i've only got a couple domains left there and those will be transfered out shortly. the worst, they are the absolute worst. |

well, I bought a ton of .60 INFO's from them last week. They charged my Credit Card for them, and then sent me an email saying that all of the domains failed to register. So, no domains and they already billed me for them. I'm waiting to hear back from their billing department on what their solution will be...

If you plan to register domains through them and that's it, they're perfect. Don't bother transferring out or in. Also, if you get a billing error, they'll do whatever it takes to not issue you a refund.
I've been trying to get my latest refund for over a week now and all I get is the standard "a credit has been added to your account" reply.. I want a refund not a faggot ass credit. |

all you need to know about them is they have been knowingly commiting fraud for the last 4 years now.
web.archive.org/web/*/http://registerfly.com look at 2000 - 2002 main page, they said with no probs "we are a RESELLER" then in late 2002 they took that down and if you click on thier ABOUT US link at the bottom of ANY archive from the end of 2002 to the end of 2005 you'll see they claimed to be a "fully accredited registar" YET as all of you who use them know from thier own emails to you they JUST became full about 3-4 months ago. any name you got from them from 2002 - 5 months ago is actually held with ENOM, if you have an Enom Reseller account create a support ticket at Enom with your regiterfly acount info and they will push your domains from Registerfly to them FREE. I have lost 4 domains thanks to Registerfly's fraud and they STILL will not respond to ANY of my tickets, emails or my calls (I take that back they HANG UP ON ME when I call lol) Lastly I would advise that you DO NOT KEEP your names with them as I don't think they will be lasting much longer (all I can say at this time) -Loki-

[sarcasm]Not sure if I mentioned it before [/sarcasm] but registerfly fucked me as well. They locked my account for some bullshit reason and flat out refused to help me by email or phone for weeks.
All they would say is email [email protected]. Which of course they never answered once throughout, said weeks. I even told them my emails were not being responded to and like a broken record they repeated thier bullshit no matter how much I tried to explain, and I just wanted my account unlocked. Registerfly GFY! ![]() And to this day I still get emails saying the hosting I had to call Visa to cancel still tries to renew.

what's the best way to get your domains transferred out of there?
move them to enom, then transfer then out of enom? i want them to go to our bulk acct at srsplus. has anyone successfully transferred their domains out of there? i am afraid of them hijacking the domains. |

Well there are other even worse examples. Registerfly put 73 of my domains on hold in the "redemption status" 2 weeks ago. All those domains had been paid for. 50 of them were even newly registered and paid for only 9 days before.
Last two weeks I have contacted them numerous times on the phone and created ~10 support tickets. They have not yet even explained to me what has happened or why it has happened. They are fucking cheating me of the domains I have paid for and destoying the value and traffic of the 23 sites I had in action. DO NOT EVER USE REGISTERFLY! |

I moved a load of domains away from RF after i put a support ticket in and saw someone else's domain/ticket in my account.
Being the honest guy i am, i put in a further support ticket telling RF this wasn't my domain and what was the ticket doing in my account. There reply - "We have added *****.com to your account! |

This is a very good question. How to transfer domains from them. Currently if you have the domains locked or use protectfly it is impossible to move domains from them. First you must disable locking + disable protectfly but those functions does not work ... |

I have 2 domains pending for renewal. They have been pending for a month now, and I have contacted them two times and ask them to manually renew them. Still waiting.

To be honest, I DID notice in the last couple of months that Registerfly has got better for me and in my opinion. I think they have updated some things in order for them to work better. Their support also handles your issue better now. So I will still use them although I will use a credit card with a low limit so they can't fuck around with their weird charging habits although that seems fixed too.

to be hounest, I was a happy customers for years. Not a problem at all and everything was smooth. However, I just finished my transfer out of there.. what they did wrong in my case:
- failed to respond to support tickets - failed to read support tickets - deleted support tickets - failed to renew domains both manually and automatically - changed nameservers on some domains to their own and the worst of all: - put themselves as owners of some of my domains simply awful registrar in my case... |

this great registrar just sent me these for all the domains I've transfered away:
You will need to enter the following information to log in and accept or decline the transfer: Domain Name: domain.com Transfer Key: xxx If we do not hear from you by Sat Jun 1 10:56:57 2006, the transfer will proceed. ----- Note the date! |
