Its something to do with the WEP. A short term fix is to disable it. I had to do that myself. I'm out in the woods so I dont worry about anyone stealing a connection.

More detail:
Everytime you send a packet of data across the network it reads that WEP key. Apparently the linksys routers of certain makes (or perhaps the wireless nics') are prone to errors doing that. So when one occurs it resets your connection. Now I'm not saying that this is 100% the reason why you're having the problem, but I have seen this on at least 3 networks I can think of and disabling WEP seems to solve the problem. |

WEP is real shaky encryption, and is pretty well known for causing wireless network stability issues. The problems have been addressed in newer protocols...
So I'm told. |

set it to WPA pre shared
and check that disc pc for XP2 upgrade linksys cards have trouble with that and switch back n forth from linksys software to XP software. I kicked the pcmcia cards out of my laptops and replaced them with belkin, no worries anymore.

Give the firmware on the access point an upgrade.
Change the channel of your access point. There may be another access point using the same channel, but only interfering intermittently. Past that, I would suggest contacting Linksys Technical support. They're very helpful fixing problems like this.
