HELP - cant get MySQL to install on FreeBSD with ports :(

it keeps saying shit like this....

i tried all... mysql4, 4.1, 5 none of them work

you need to cvsup your ports tree

It looks like you're using an old copy of it --

If you already have CVSUP installed, just run cvsup. If not, cd /usr/ports/net/cvsup-withoutgui then "make install" wait a bit, copy the cvsup file from /usr/local/share/cvsup, and and run that -- it'll update to the latest version so that you can build mysql. you will need to cvsup, or fetch the tar.gz to /usr/ports/distfiles/

try unzipping the file first. double click mysql-4.1.5-gamma.tar.gz and let it extract then read the instructions. just a guess
