Hypo.. Of you use an IP for email then move hosts, there will be some bent ppl since that email addy will not be good anymore,, Not many IPs can move from host to host.

This is just a temp email, for emergency contacts, not a mailing list or anything. Now to see if my hosting company can set it up.

I got this reply from my host -
We cannot create [email protected] - Email accounts must have a domain after the @ sign, and cannot contain an IP#. We can create: [email protected] for you if you want. If that is what you want, please place another ticket, and request [email protected] to be created for you. What do I tell them so they are able to set it up? |

Can someone tell me exactly how this would be accomplished? My host says their setup does not allow it. I f I could tell them how maybe they would.

It's done exactly the same way an email account on a domain is setup.
