If you sent 100 signups to a dating site, how much $ would u earn by rebills?

Over time, generally?

Lets say you send 100 signups to a decent dating site, at $40 a signup (50/50 partnership)

normally, how much $ would this translate to over time?

depends on retention, if its at 60%, i would figure it like this.. wont be 100% accurate but will give you a general idea.

month 1: 100 signups

$2,000

month 2: 60 rebills @ 60% retention

$1,200

month 3: 36 rebills @ 60% retention

$720

month 4: 21 rebills @ 60%

$420

and so on... but this would hafta be a steady rebill % to be true

im probably totally wrong, but figured id throw in my

but those that rebill would probably hang around longer too (ie could be >60% on subsequent months)

anyone have stats for this?

It is a hard question to answer. Some people will stay for a year some people will wait until the day before the rebill and cancel. You just got to hope for people that forget they are signed up and keep rebilling.

It all depends on two factors:

How long people rebill for and how many people actually rebill.

What I mean is, people who rebill the first time will very likely stay atleast 3-4 months. Other members who paid once, might not rebill at all.

Taking this into consideration, let's say 50% of your signups don't rebill at all and 30% rebills 2 months, 20% rebills 3 months and 15% rebills 4 months. Let's also assume you earn 50% revshare and membership is 24.95/mth

If you sent 100 paid signups in month 1, but then stopped traffic completely, you'd see:

Month 1: 100 x 24.95 x 0.5 = $1247.50
Month 2: 50 x 24.95 x 0.5 = $623.75
Month 3: 20 x 24.95 x 0.5 = $249.50
Month 4: 15 x 24.95 x 0.5 = $187.13
Total: $2307.88

Thus if a site's retention was the above, you would do much better at $25-40 per signup than with Revshare.

If the site had say 75% members who rebilled once and more % rebilling longer, Revshare becomes more profitable.

The key to Revshare though, is to send atleast the same amount of traffic/joins per month, so your monthly income increases

I guess the only real way to know retention rates is to try though, unless a program will share the info with you......hey, if you want to know IwantU's ret. rates, just ask me

There are some cases where you will get a whale that will rebill for life and then there are the ones that just want a look so with the variety of surfers out there it's impossible to tell...

According to AAC the average member stays on for 4 months. They generate a total of $160 recurring sales, and for each month you get 50% (minus processing) 17.30. So from 100 paid signups you could expect to earn a total of $1730.

The crucial point is :

If you do the billing yourself you have the client's data for marketing.

It took me 2 years (long time ago, hehe) to get the point.

Talking about crucial details.
