Anyone else being victim ?

No matter if I disconnect my system from the cable modem or not - the activity LED blinks like crazy.

Obviously Red Worm struck the RoadRunner network. Any other ISPs hit by it ?

This is starting to piss me off - partially the internet runs slower than on a fucking 14.4K modem

An article said yesterday that this wave has been running on alot of the broadband providers this time around. DSL and specifically the roadrunner cable servers. It's scanning more systems at a time but supposedly not affecting the net speed all that much.

You better believe it slows down the speed. Downloads that usually run at a smooth 100-300KB/sec suddenly slow down to 2-3 KB/sec and then suddenly jump up to normal speed again. Even the GFY sometimes doesn't load completely... and other sites give me crap as well.

I have the same problem. A buddy installed a firewall on his system and the log showed 52 portscanning activities in 3 hours.

That stuff is definitely out there.

Learn from the Yoda young jedi.... NEVER install a gates op system until the second service pack is out and actually usable. Saves us everytime. Let alone mess with gates powered servers.

Roadrunner best get it's shit together. At this rate, I am thinking about pulling out my trusty old 300 baud modem I was going to donate to the Smithsonian just so I can get some speed.

RoadRunner is already experiencing jams from hardware overloads around here. They will be just like a reg dialup if they don't start adding equipment faster. But models predict that will be hard to do due to the $$

Yeah, RoadRunner was hit here too. SDSL and ADSL seem ok though. Glad I have several pipes. My main IIS box is acting really funny though. Bunch of errors about how the real-time protection won't load and the error box won't close - just pops right back up. Can't stop the service either, just freaks it out.

Don't want to have to re-boot it 'till about 3 or 4am if possible, but I might not have a choice!
