I've used lots of PPC's, they all have their tweaks but you can make a profit on them...

Google Adwords has been performing well for my mainstream sites, haven't really tested it for adult stuff

Yes, you need someone who knows what they're doing too. Maxamize your revenue.

I am promoting penis pills and I am using google and overture. During the first 2 weeks i made over 2k$ and now it sux, sales just stoped to come but i see clicks.
