Most opt-in services have something in their privacy policy that allows their address to be sold even after unsubscribing.

However, the people who send mail to that email address ARE spamming.

But still ok to sell the list. (Legally)

This would be a good list for a spammer who was trying to keep the heat down, that is if they used it for what it is intended. A clean list is a thing of beauty and a very efficient money maker.
I have a 7 million remove list for $100......it's not the most current list in the world, but if you're using it as a filter instead of mailing to it that shouldn' t matter. This is a list of people who asked to be removed from porn mailings and known complainers. I'd hate to be the moron who mails this list.

Even though I get like 200 spams a day, I don't give a shit. I can use the delete+shift key.

Well their is one big adult company even when you are removed from one list they add you to another and if you remove yourself from that list they add you to another one.The cycle just continues and continues.I dont know how their host lets them get away with that but i know i wil be hosting them in the future hehe
