The Beverage Thread

yep.... you guessed it. It's all about what you drink.

I used to drink a LOT of Coke..... I've been real good though. Easy habit to slip into when you're in front of a computer all day I suppose. Haven't had hardly any in weeks. (compared to a month ago, I was downing two 2 Liter bottles a day)

so now....

Morning: coffee till 11 or 12
Afternoon: sometimes water, sometimes pineapple/7/Malibu, heavy on the 7. Both are real light so I don't end up getting full.
Evening: either 1 or 2 light beers or just water.... depends on how hot out it is.
Night: i like to cap off the night with another coffee or two, with some Baileys, and then another bottle of water right before hitting the sack.
Weekends: pretty much the same as during the week, but I started getting into the Jamba Juices. Good shit there man. Gotta have at least one a weekend.

I set my mind out a while back to change my beverage habits, and I must say, so far I've made quite a dramatic change from even just a few months ago. Much less beer, (I got sick of the taste of it, finally, after 24 years of the stuff) and much less Coke, which is always good.... that shit can't possibly be good for any living thing... even though I still love the stuff.

by no means am I a health nut... and I'm not looking for perfection. But I'm starting to notice at least a little difference. I'm not quite so tired all the time any more. I think I was way on the extreme end of caffeine..... so far that it was having the reverse effect. Instead of juicing me up, it was making me tired.


so.... anyway. There's my beverage saga for September, 2003.

I drink Mountain Dew and Beer, pretty much that's it for the most part unless neither are available at the time.

i've recently cut all caffeine out of my life. so i really only drink four things lately:

gatorade when i'm hiking. water the rest of the day. glass or two of red wine with dinner. couple of beers at night. that's pretty much it, except for the odd decaf coffee.

I've cut way back on beer and other alcholic beverages. I have been drinking about 6 liters of water a day and feeling great! It's really easy to go through about 12 500ml bottles of water during a workday.

indeed, both DH & quiet.... I've been buying cases of bottled water like mad. we go through that stuff, well, like water.

definitely. i've become a huge fan of bottled water over the past 6-7 months. i drink more H20 than anything else. by far.

I like Jamba Juice to. try this combo, say it just like this "Protien Berry Pizazz, no protien, add a fat burner, no free boost, mixed EXTRA THIN"

No protien because it turns to fat if you don't work out and well I only get up to shovel my car out of the snow, other than that I don't work out. Fat burner for obvious reason. and no fre boost because the energy boost makes funny taste.

extra thin so your brain doesn't collapse wheil drinking it.

something abou tthat combo makes my pee pee hard. It's so fucking good.

I've recently started drinking a lot of bottled water as well. And I have a Britta that I refill the bottles up from sometimes. I also drink OJ during the day.

I used to drink Mt. Dew like it was going out of style. But my body seems to like water a lot better.

To make sure I stay healthy, I go out drinking 2-3 times a week, and put down some additional Heinekens...

I've been taking in a lot of protein lately, and working out regularly (for the first time ever.) But it's made a huge difference in just 8-10 weeks...who'd a thunk it?

I mix this stuff called "Muscle Milk" with fat free milk...they have Vanilla, Pina Colada, Cookies 'n Cream, etc. Good stuff

I used to be horrible with caffeine. Start my morning with 2 pots, 8-11, if it was raining or cold after that it would go up to about 5-6 pots by the end of the day 5pm. If it was hot, 1can code red + 1can red bull in a pint glass - 5 -6 by 5.

Now I drink green tea and liquid bread!

Orange Juice and water in the morning.

In the afternoon I load up on water and gatorade since I'm practicing for 4 hours.

After practice I have more water and a fruit smoothie with soy milk.

For dinner I have more water.

Before bed I have a Cappucino cooler in Soy Milk.

I guess you could say that I watch what I drink for the most part.
