As opposed to what? Being a sole proprietor?

It depends on your reasons for taking your business to Canada.
You should consult an accountant down here.
A new business in Canada gets a major tax break for the first 5 years of operation.

a small business earning roughly under $250k net, under new regulations and incorporated in say Alberta, will have a tax rate to rival that of say Nevada, in the 15-20% range.

If you are doing porn stuff, you don't want to incorperate in canada, b/c the CCRA (our version of the IRS) wants you to charge 7% tax on membership transactions and other complicated things on how to do it with canadian affiliates and such. But if you do incorperate, do it in Alberta, low tax rates and such. Definitely will be under $1000 CDN to get it all done, all papers filed and such, and get proper advice.
