IF I ever get so desperate to live in one of those places, please, just shoot me.

On second thought, they might be paradise for the over 70 crowd. Slow and boring.

You can get decent house prices and such here on the west side of the state as it is. I do not know that I would be looking to move to any of these places. I am looking to move to the coast in the next few years, or at least split time there. While there are benefits to living in low cost of living places, you also have a series of trade offs as a business owner. Both good and bad.

Lexington Ky is a beautiful small university town surrounded by the worlds best horse farms. Good place to work and raise kids. But if you were retired here I have no idea what you would do except maybe travel to other places.

Lexington is nice. Great place to raise a family, and still big enough to have plenty to do.

A few decent places on that list. Some of you should travel more, you don't know what you're missing.

I "retired" at 43. What I quickly found out is the winter months make you a hermit. If you have no reason to leave your house you don't. I found myself living in a beautiful house in the country only leaving to get food and liquor.

After one winter I went with a warm climate. Would have moved to Hawaii but they have crazy quarantine laws for pets. So I went to Florida where god only know what happens from day to day. Lol

It always seems like these types of articles are out off touch with reality. Every trailer park and beat down shack in a 10 mile surrounding area must be included in these "median" prices
