conversions: wtf

what is going on this month. I can't remember when last time I had 1:3400 conversions. My average conversion for all those years is stable and it is 1:1000. this is more then three times worse.

Someone experiencing same?

nope. Nothing unusual. Just at the end of last month two, but that's on some sponsor I am not promoting so much.

Paysite conversions aren't going to get any better any time soon. Plus we're not even five days in so unless you are pushing 25,000 or more uniques to sponsors daily it's a pretty small sample. And if you're mostly ccbill then you probably don't need me to tell you the reality of that.

CCBill? Check your chargeback:transaction ratios both last month and for the year. There is a rumor that CCBill scrubs affiliates more if that ratio is too high. afaik it's just a rumor and no one knows if it's true besides ccbill staff.

I have reasons to think that's true.

If it's true then I think they should publish some kind of indicator that CB are considered too high and that the affiliate is getting scrubbed for it. Most of the CB I get are from sponsors which are barely alive and haven't updated in years. I'd rather pull them than take the risk of them messing up my conversions with higher volume programs. They should be doing something about those programs not targeting established affiliates who have no control over the member area. Not to mention that much of the CB problem has to do with the shitty pre checked cross sales some programs have.

If you change the range it should show you. If not use your ccbill stats. Take Refunds+Chargebacks divided by sales and rebills. 1% is the accepted number from the card companies. Anything over 2% is definitely high. Keep in mind no one knows if they really do this let alone what the numbers are.

What's your analysis seeing no improvement for lower traffic sites? ` Holidays? ` Last yr this time conversions were good. `

They have probably also stats for a lower range of days.

I think paysite ratios are just going to get worse every year unless something major changes. That's always been the trend. This time the holidays will hurt too but what I mean with the lower traffic sites is only the sample size. If you only send 2,000 uniques per day out over five days that's just 10,000 uniques to go on. If you send 25,000 uniques out per day it's 125,000 so you have a larger sample and it should be more consistent. But for a small affiliate it should still normally about even out on a monthly basis even if they only send 2,000 uniques a day.

My conversions ,if day is bad ,or week (but almost never happen for whole week), won't exceed 1:1600. It is always same or similar for years, so I doubt it is too early. I know my sales and traffic very good

Average this year is actually 1:3000. I thought it was better than that, to be honest.

Looks pretty average so far. Kinda like It's been this whole year. Running a steady over-all at around 1:1000.

The only thing converting really good is our eurorevenue sites, especially germangoogirls and bukkakeboys. Looking at under 1:300 averages for them to start Dec and was like that whole November too. Too bad I don't have as much bukkake and gay traffic as I have other.
