I just checked my message history it was 9 days ago we actually spoke. Were were busting chops and catching up ...

Whoa... I have no words... Behind the party boy was Donnie not BIG D the adult persona he carried on..

You will be missed...

LAJ 04-10-2011 07:19 PM

Very sad news indeed. Used to chat with him a bunch when he was new to the industry, but after awhile I just couldn't hang. A few years ago at the Florida Internext he threw a playful punch at me in the elevator... it hurt, so I grabbed his nuts. He lunged at me and missed and nearly knocked himself out he was so messed up. Funny but sad at the same time. I remember also joking with him that in 20 years time I'd remind him the tattoos were a bad idea. Won't get that chance. RIP D.

pr0 04-10-2011 09:37 PM

I haven't posted in almost a year & a half.....but in honor of a fallen comrade...i felt it necessary to post a tribute.

Big D was definitely a wondering soul.....he was able to do a lot of really cool shit in his life though, he never sat on the sidelines & watched. I remember one night getting a cellphone picture sent to me of Ron Jeremy passed out on his couch in Vegas :1orglaugh

Towards the end Donnie took advantage of the kindness of a lot of us....however I can most definitely state as fact...that was the drugs, not Donnie.

In the end, all we're left with are memories in this life. I'm proud to say I made a few real memories with that Irish bastard.

Right now I'm standing on the balcony overlooking the Ocean Donnie.....Having 1-cold yingleng (the first beer I've drank in a year) dedicated to you big guy....

I know a lot of people say "rest in peace"....but i think we both know you're in the same place I'm going, partying it up already...with a couple premo-ho's....so all i gotta say is....keep a good seat warm for me homie! :pimp

corvette 04-10-2011 09:41 PM

i spend some time with him in ny about 3 years go...nice guy and huge shame he passed before his time

RIP Donnie

Sarah, you're gorgeous.

After reading this thread, this industry needs a few more, and could loose alot more.

Classic thread Donnie wrote where he was proud of the fact he out partied me at Internext in 2008.

Next time I drink a beer it will be in his honor and memory

VladS 04-11-2011 01:44 AM

I did not know him, only what i've read in the "Romania Meeting" thread and in this thread. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

The same goes for Alex Allard (SunIslandStudio), may he rest in peace.

"Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family."

Do they mean monetary contributions? Is that quite common in the US?

Miz_Wright 04-11-2011 11:22 AM

I hate to hear this. Donnie was a good kid, who just got caught by illness.

That is how I read it, and if it is common, I have never seen it before. What is common is something like "in lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society".

JenniDahling 04-11-2011 12:57 PM

Wow. Donnie was a sweetheart but thought he had control of his addictions, when it was obvious to everyone else that it was the other way around. We spoke recently, and he was excited about finally being on the right track where things were looking up for him and he was no longer on the drugs.

I hope he finally finds peace and serenity.

rhon23 04-11-2011 02:43 PM

I just talked to him recently. D will be missed! RIP

No it's not. Usually only see it when they have a young child and it's something about setting up a college fund for the kid. But he seemed to imply from his posts that his family had some major issues.

MyCamProfile 04-20-2011 05:06 PM

R.I.P man. Seem's I'll be heading that way soon as well.

Pacino 04-20-2011 06:36 PM

I'm very sad after hearing this news.. :( Donnie worked for me when he first started in the adult business. I remember talking with him many times and his energy/enthusiasm is what I will always remember. I have read some negative comments about him here and while he wasn't perfect ( who here is perfect) I believe he was a good person. He made me laugh on a daily basis, thats for sure. RIP Donnie.

So sad, we didn't see this thread till now when Pacino forwarded it to me :( He was a fun guy for sure and he would make me laugh when we worked together. RIP Donnie!

There is only 1 bad thing I must say about the adult industry....seriously only #1.

We've all been to dozens (if not 100+ industry parties) & we see the people who obviously can't handle their booze (and other substances)....yet it seems to be encouraged, especially with the younger crowd.

I for one will be taking a stance on alchohol (especially drug use) at any future get-togethers. If I find someone is getting out of control, I will try my best to take them back to my hotel room & discuss business (have some coffee) etc.

I will no longer be a part of the problem. Don't get me wrong....I am by no means a rat...& I am not anti alcohol or drug (pot doesn't even count imo). I'm just now a firm believer that all things should be done in moderation! However if i see someone completely off the rails at a show, I do believe I will pull them aside & at least tell them about guys like Big_D....especially the new guys, who have no idea what their in for.

With new $ & fame....success....comes huge temptations to fuck up your life. Quite a few of us have done it at least once since joining the biz. Very few of us however have totally quit them all (such as myself, thank god).

By just altering the perception of "the lifestyle" for 1 person....We can all make a huge difference & make sure we keep our friends/clients etc. Along for a very long time! :thumbsup:thumbsup

Rick Diculous 04-20-2011 09:53 PM

This is sad! I never met him but always enjoyed chatting with him on ICQ these past 4 years. Way too young to go. R.I.P. Big_D

Mike Honcho 04-20-2011 10:03 PM

Met him at Internext Miami, was a cool guy, but you could tell his end would be a short one by the way he partied.

R.I.P

R.I.P

We both know several dozen people that partied just as hard as him @ show's. Especially Miami & Vegas. He just didn't stop the partying when he left like most of the rest. :2 cents:

He was pretty legendary for his consumption of party materials however!

michael.kickass 04-21-2011 05:53 AM

Sorry to hear that. RIP Donnie.

I still miss him, I ran into some old archives, and some pictures with him in Craiova/Romania, and suddenly I was feeling sad again. He was a great guy. Soon it will be 5 years that he is gone...
