In the 1980s my first wife was a stripper and used to put on private shows for me after hours stripping to George Michael's "Father Figure" and "I Want Your Sex". I've always been a fan.
I Google image searched George Michael death pic, or something like that, and that came up. I hadn't read how he died "peacefully at home". Thanks for letting me know though

Guesses on how he died?
Hard to say - He liked to party and it is Christmas day so...
How many hundreds of millions of women over the world were in deep denial about George being gay in the 80's and 90's? Some of his songs were pantry droppers for sure. How many babies were born after having been conceived while one of his songs was playing? The man certainly left his mark on Earth.
What a shock and so sad. He was on top until he was outed. His career suffered, drugs helped him escape, and he never came back. Great voice, looks and hair. When he shook that tush on video, fantasies came alive. He died "peacefully" but how do they know? No visible weapons, no signs of brutality, maybe, but if drug related, he may have died during a seizure. He was a true talent. RIP.

This is sad and shocking. I didn't expect him to die so young.
And its weird, I was explaining to my GF just last week why I like 70s hard rock. She doesn't like it or understand it.
I explained to her "because THIS was the music of MY generation" and showed her the video for "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," as an example of how far music devolved in just ten short years.
growing up as a kid in a no-homo country I thought his weirdness was "artistic expression" and shit...then the 80-s when I first saw him were strange as fuck and I thought boy george was just being artsy...I honestly thought queen singing "I want to break free" was not homo because he was trying to do some artsy shit as well...oh boy was I wrong
It is times like this when you are losing your favorite artists so young (53) that you realize both the impact they and their music had on your life, as well as the value of your time and what you do with it. His music defined a generation. Hopefully George has finally found the inner peace of mind he seemed to be searching for all of his life. Die hard fans, including myself, will be forever grateful for his music that meant so much at different points in our lives.
