What software would make your life easier? excluding stuff like a winning lottery number generator - but are there tasks that you have that are really manual and think would be better off handled by a script, program, whatever?

It probably would if I knwo how to do it...I'd like something that you can just load your design in, change a few settings and 'bang' out pops your new theme.

Good questions. The perfect tool would change the text and order AND have something set so you can just put how often you want it to update(3 days-a lot of ping directories have a 3 day period between pings)

Also, I add text in my index.php file in the theme I use so it is every post. I would love to be able to have say 3 or 4 versions, rotating.
