I'd start with link building, try to trade links with other webmasters, links from same or similar niche are always better.

I think you need to find a checklist for On-page optimization of the site and check your site for all the items. You can make pages about your site in all social networks. Don't forget to update the information on these pages. You can think about backlinks later.
