This could be taken care of:

- identify unique customers by (name/credit card) and credit affiliates only if it is a new user introduced to the system. Meaning if your user creates a new username through a new link, he is still yours. That will stop the backdoor snicky business or render it useless.

- as discussed, technically prevent the fraudulent cookie strategy that is used on chaturbate broadcaster pages.

- visitors to a whitelabel should be cookied against *.chaturbate.com this way brands don't compete.

As a result, trust is restored and everyone gets back to making it all work efficiently.

Totally agree. Not to mention that affiliates are not just a small percentage of the income that Chaturbate generates. If the affiliates boycott this website, then they will lose a significant amount of money.

That is why we need to come up with suggestions like above (the same credit card on file for example) present them in a email, give them few months to at least try implement some changes if they don’t, we boycott, if enough of us do it, it will force change, if we just sit here and complain they might see it

I don't believe cb places ads on whitelabels, but by any means please be specific, which ads?

The code can be improved to target unwanted elements more accurately.

i dont know if this is a bug: if you try to type your white label site without www but with https:// , it wont open!! this is a pretty big one since some users might want to visit my white label site after they done with other website say gfy.com, then instead just edit out the gfy from https://gfy.com if they dont also remove https://, the site wont open

Now what you are showing us is a perfect illustration of what the FRAUD is about.

She is blatantly and openly enticing potentially existing members to sign up a new account through her affiliate links.
A sponsor, such as Chaturbate, needs skilled affiliates to bring in traffic towards them that they would otherwise not get through just SEO but once the members are on Chaturbate, they don't need affiliates. This is as fraudulent as cookie stuffing. Links used in bad faith with the blessing of the company.
The fact that cb happily lets it happens is disturbing to say the least, my imagination runs wild when it comes to this sort of business. Trust is in short supply.

Like I said before we need to:
- technically prevent affiliate links on broadcasters profile pages
- make customers unique so when they create a new account though a new link the webmaster doesn't lose his customers (it is LIFETIME after all).

Ok, well that's shit because this is something that not only affects the whitelabel users but also the users that have their website and the Chaturbate API. This is something that needs to be dealt with pretty soon. The situation is getting worse and worse and worse by every day and there is still no answer from Chaturbate.

Terrible... last year it was around the same earnings as you, this year you can take away 95 % from that and then you have my earnings for the V-Day


Not sure how long i can still keep promoting Chaturbate... i also have bills to pay but they don't seem to understand that...
It makes me sick to my stomach knowing that i promoted this site for over 3 years and then there come some people that do FRAUD and Chaturbate does not give a single fuck about it (so it seems)

CB will lose a ton of money once all the good affiliate users are pulling away and getting into other affiliate programs. But by then it probably would be to late for them, i don't have 1 or 2 years to wait until CB figures out a solution.

It's funny that you mention the models, without us they wouldn't have the spender in the first place, and lets be real here.. the top models earn a good chunk of money, now taking us the whales alltogether and giving us 0% return is just fraud, it can't stress this enough. Its fraud.

One question, we have the custom CSS solution on Chaturbate. Would you be able to change every outbound link to a different link? That way we could change every outbound link in the bio to the registration page of each whitelabel, the problem would be solved.

You can't change the link, but you can do something that will achieve the same:

- apply the css code to hide outbound links (code in thread)
- add a div with a class name
- explicitly make your div visible with css + give it an absolute position to have it show up in the bio (there are other solutions)

Keep in mind this only works on your whitelabels, the fraudulent model links will remain on chaturbate.com and all other whitlabels. Not counting the models who speak to customers in private sessions or in social media: the problem is not solved.

You could have a point. If they had an interest they would open communication.
Not replying at all is poor form though, regardless of if they have a vested interest or not.

Phase 1:
broadcasters don't know cb
cb opens an affiliate program so their site grows
webmasters push traffic to cb

Phase 2:
cb is big
broadcasters make money off cb
webmasters make money off cb

Phase 3:
cb is bigger
broadcasters still make money
no need for webmasters anymore the site is self sufficient
still a need for models to stay so let them do what they want.

I don't have a problem with that flow, but I do have a problem if our lifetime members are stolen from us

Filled the CB survey yesterday.

Anyway, there's a simple way for resolve the unfair behaviour of models, updating the terms of CB affiliate program:

1) Ask to the next login:

a) Are you broadcaster?
b) Are you an affiliate?

2) If you choose "a" you can't anymore be also an affiliate, so all your affiliate links will be disable (keeping anyway all "unfair" affiliate earnings until now active so to respect the terms until now), if you choose "b" you can promote CB but not to be also a broadcaster.

3) Ban all models that asking customers money outside Chaturbate. Ban all models forcing users to register a new account with a message in their bio. Ban models with multiple accounts.

That's it!

One small thing, I would reword "affiliate" into "webmaster" as the later implies the necessary the skills required to do the job.

"if you are a webmaster then you are entitled to join our affiliate program".

You also have to customers unique by name + credit card as to avoid any temptations.

They cant ban models, but according to T&C they can forfeit the earnings etc ..
