Rob Zombie kicks fucking ass. Pics from the HeavyMTL Heavy Metal Show in Montreal
So Sunday night we checked out the HeavyMTL Heavy Metal festival and saw bands like Chimaira, Hatebreed, 5 Finger Death Punch, Korn, and Lamb of God (I missed Megadeth and Alice Cooper unfortunately).
If I had to guess there was over 25,000 people at this event. All the bands were great and the sound was good most of the time, but sometimes they had 2 bands playing at the same time which must have made a few people more than pissed off. Anyway, the highlight of the show for us was ROB ZOMBIE. We've seen him several times and his shows are always the best. Great songs, fun theatrics, and a cool mix of Horror and Sci Fi, with a little Devil Worship throw in just for fun. We managed to be 5 rows from the front of the stage and were pretty comfortable, elbow-room wise, until the show started at which time we were CRUSHED by a mass of stinky sweaty metal heads! But who cares? ROB ZOMBIE had hit the stage and put on a great fucking show. Here are some pics! http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...obzombie-a.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...obzombie-b.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...obzombie-c.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...obzombie-d.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...robzombie2.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...robzombie3.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...robzombie5.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...robzombie7.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...robzombie8.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...robzombie9.jpg http://www.livecamnetwork.com/bbs-pi...obzombie10.jpg |
yeah his shows are fucking awesome. They don't seem to run as long as other bands imo but he stays quite active on stage and burns out fast I'd bet.

I saw him several years ago at the Amway Arena in Orlando.
The seats were full and the floor was shoulder to shoulder. My seats were in the lower bowl with a great view of the stage. I'll never forget watching the people on the floor jumping up and down like BBs on a vibrating board and then Rob yells out that everyone in their seats were a bunch of pussies if they didn't come down on the floor to join them. A few made a break for the floor and jumped over the rail as the elderly ushers tried to keep them in their sections. Rob kept egging them on and then people were flowing over the rail onto the floor. It was a surreal sight and thankfully nobody got hurt but it was a concert moment that left me in awe :thumbsup |
Nice! Going to the same tour in Tampa in 2 weeks :thumbsup

Slayer is really good for that. Or when Metallica went on tour for "Justice for all". That was at the Long Beach arena. That was the last time there was a metal show there. When Metallica took the stage, everyone tore out the seat cushions and started throwing them around the arena. That was crazy!! My favorite was White Zombie and Pantara at Irvine Meadows. :thumbsup |

I saw him on the first day of the Mayhem Festival here. They were playing one of the old White zombie songs, and the guitarist straight up ate shit mid song and fuck it all up :1orglaugh.
He always puts on a great stage show :thumbsup |

Never was a big metal fan but I'm always up for good times and new experiences. Seeing that kind of crowd for the first time blew my mind.:upsidedow Another great metal show I went to was the " Monsters of Rock " tour at the Miami orange Bowl on June 4, 1988. I know Metallica was the headliner but I think the Scorpions, Van Halen, Dokken and Kingdom Come played as well. That concert started in the afternoon and it rained hard for a bit and then cleared up leaving us with the worlds greatest wet-T shirt contest :) |
cool set
