I"m all about limited welfare (2-4 years tops, job education classes) and also forcing those who receive gov't benefits to be on birth control and if they fail drug tests to have their benefits limited.

Next I said 'and 61% of those receiving aid'. This means white people make up 61% of those receiving aid which is what the OP stated.

These statements do not contradict each other. If there are 100 million people in America with 2 million on welfare then there are 75 million white Americans and 1.2 million on welfare.

If you are on Section 8 in AZ you have to answer to the state, take drug tests, they monitor who comes and goes from your house. If you are reported for having to many people visit you, you can be kicked off. This is b/c they are paying for you to not be homeless. If they are paying for you to not be hungry, cold or homeless then ya they should tell you what to do. You tell your kids what to do when you pay for all of this correct? Being poor is easily avoidable its called an education.

In AZ and Cali people have welfare disease. They have more and more kids to get more and more money and live in 2 bedroom trailers or small apartments, then they also get more food stamps for more kids, and each kid gets free health care, free lunches, free admission to sport teams, all of this is a major drain. So ya i think they should force birth control, and monitor the recipients drug habits. In AZ you cant get food stamps if you have any drug felonies...

If it is Census data you select the race or races that you most identify with and that is what they base the statistics on. Since 2000 it is possible to select more than one race. Below are the stats (Top 50) for people choosing more than 1 race in 2000.

One of the problems of our welfare systems and I've seen this first hand is that more kids means more money. It has been brought up that there should be an effort to change this and offer free birth control to those on welfare and schooling to get them out of welfare. But this brings other problems like kid care. Most states, California being one of them is cutting back on child care assistance.

There has to be a medium ground that gets people off the welfare role and in the working force of America. Unfortunately, we're stuck with a progressive president that thinks more government and entitlements is going to make the US stronger. When in fact, more government and more entitlements equals a bigger tax burden. That tax burden is paid by the people that are making over $250k a year according to Obama, they are the ones that are hiring people, if they have less money, then they hire less people. So the ones that are working, are working for less money, because of higher taxes.
