Hotel location is a good bit further out too, never stayed that far out before.

Best show of the year! And now right next to the museums, vondelpark and next door to the casino! (Warning in Europe you have to be a MEMBER of a casino to gamble there. Usually cost is nothing or 1 euro to join, BUT you have to wait 24 hours before you can gamble. So if you want to, join on the day you arrive!

I thought membership was instant in most places, this is new to me.

I will be back to Amsterdam in September for sure :)

Maybe it has changed, last time I went, you had to wait 24 hours? That was a few years ago though.

exactly the same date as the Barcelona Show, wow must be a bummer for Barcelona, I am sure most if not all sponsors/program owners and even webmasters will go to Amsterdam, well I will.

I found it interesting that Barcelona said that after speaking with their various sponsors, they all decided their chosen dates would be best. And nobody thought to look into the Webmaster Access situation at all? All they had to do was hit up somebody and mention that they wanted to run a show and get some date estimates.

Lack of communication and lack of foresight.

Hopefully I will be well enough to attend the show.

Most industry events have fixed dates +-2 days. All dates of the past events are available on Fubar, AdultWhosWho and other resources, so it's pretty easy to find the schedule without even having to contact the organizers.

Certainly this is bad planning, I hope it isn't too late to change the dates, I'd rather see the shows go one after each other, this way I'd probably go to both, but if they don't change dates - my pick is Amsterdam for sure.

I heard that Andreas had the Amsterdam dates and knew that Playboy was doing their show, but decided to make his announcement anyways. If that is the case, I can not think of a dumber fucking move! :2 cents:

What is even more amazing is that Oktoberfest through themselves in with Barcelona. Talk about a backstab to the Webmaster Access crew!

I love the Amsterdam show, it was my very first international trade show, definately going to be there :-)

It look likes an official events Battle, Barcelona vs Amsterdam.

And the attendees will bennefit from that i think.
The shows must give us the best they have to make people comming to their shows like:
Playmates, free drugs, free drinks, free stripshows, higher pay-outs, good nightclubs, good seminars, good party's, free tickets, hotel discounts, limousine service, a good band, famous dutch playboy models, redlight tour.

I prefer Amsterdam for now

Het is wat, als Barcelona zometeen het stokje van Amsterdam zou overnemen.
Wallen zijn al bijna gesloten, coffeshops dicht, geen internationale pornobeurs.
Straks is Amsterdam alleen nog bekend van molens en klompen.

Is er ook interesse in een speciale meeting dag voor Nederlandse webmasters?

starting a seminar at 9 am the 1st day is ok , but Not on the days after:winkwink: 11am would be a reasonable time for both attendees and panelists:2 cents:

and, Eric, I prefer to buy my own drinks and sit in a comfortable place than get free drinks in a overcrowded room.
Maybe you should poll the participants and see which way is better. Last year's party totally sucked.

Which Party are you talking about, I will pass this on to the organizers of the party. Always tough to find good venues that house our size crowds.

I think you mean the party at the Rain www.rain-amsterdam.com where the party was last year. That was crowded, the hotel bar was better.

You should have at the tranny bar we ended up at 4am a few years ago with that Romanian chick that keep wanting us to go eat pancakes... haha

I have a feeling Barcelona will change dates, and come up with a new announcement.. their website is not done yet.. don't see what really is the big deal... if they want the show to live, they have to adapt.
