Best software to rip a DVD to mpeg4
What's out there these days?
|
mm dvd decrypter/anydvd ... to get the vobs mmmm then load it in some magic program like cow encrypter of some shit I guess it was called... or dvdx ...and then encode it with your h.264 or mpeg4 codec....
been like a thousand years since I last did it .... I don't back up my movies anymore.. I just figured I buy it again if it brakes .. I used to spend 3-4 hours backing up those dam dvds ...lol... |
I like Any...

DWB if you want the best quality and most control over re-editing it here is my method:
DVD Decrypter or other app --> makes usually four VOBs on your hdd --> import them into DVD2AVI --> outputs lots of large, very high resolution DV AVI files on your hard drive + one wav file for the DVD's audio --> import AVIs and wav into an editing app like Premiere Pro so you can add disclaimer, logos, edit for content or to fade out between DVD scenes cleanly etc if you desire -> output scene or movie to one DV AVI -> then import that edited DV AVI into your preferred mp4 encoding app like Cleaner XL, or Sorenson Squeeze --> outputs to mp4 files on your hard drive |
I use the video converter at www.avs4you.com software. Works well, does what I need.
