I own one of the limited, autographed (by the photographer), original prints of this photo. You can see the guy standing next to him and a tree. It's one of the things I would grab if my house was burning down.

haha, Chavez has a very unformal way to speak, he does it all the time in his TV show where he speaks to all the people of his country, so he had to speak in that way "El Negro" and so on...

Its not really a name it's a description.

What I like about chavez, is that every time he talks about the US, he ends up in saying something that sounds like he thinks that his militray would be a match for the US.

The last time I saw him talk on tv. he said something like. " We will talk. Even if we have to do it in HELL. "

That's fucking cool man. Lots of people like to demonize Che, when in all reality, he was just doing what anyone with a set of balls would do in his situation. Taking back what was rightfully his.

It's very common to say "Negro" in Venezuela.. it's actually NOT an insult...

Also, many countries in Latin America use Negro as a good term...

If a man kills his neighbors for personal disputes it is murder but when one kills his neighbors for governmental disputes it is called patriotism. Go figure....

Yeah, it's super common in Latin America, and it's not considered insulting or insensitive. Just a way of identifying Obama, given that he's black, and negro is Spanish for black. Latinos haven't really caught up with the whole Political Correctness craziness...
