Best Tube Software?

Since Redtube and Youporn seem to still be up and running, fuck it i might as well make 250k a month on dating and cams too.

What software is the best?

Godsmack 10-11-2008 12:27 AM

if you dont need community features like comments and user uploads than take a look at STXT, see sig..

Dzoic cliphouse, adultwatch or smart tube.

Nubiles 10-11-2008 06:42 AM

Take a look at the Nubiles Tube Script or SXTX.

I need about the same, but with one more spec, users should be able to upload videos (after review and aproval of an admin goes live) AND more important even, it should have an automated thumbnail maker that rotates multiple gifs on the frontpage of the actual embedded video. Anyone got that, or know where to get it?

JimmiDean 10-11-2008 06:57 AM

There seems to be a wide spectrum of whats out there, and the cost seems to be from free to an awful lot of cash .

mechbunny if you have the cash, my script if you want something that'll scale but doesn't have quite as many community tools as something like youtube but it has user uploads, comments and all the essentials at only $40

vidiscript seems to be the best free option out there.

if you're looking at running the illegal tube setups Nubiles, STXT and TEVS really are not options. Those are mainly centered around sponsored videos.

There is a REALLY nice tube system around $200 http://www.mediascripts.com/social_features.html honestly thats probably your best bet, it has far more features compared to well ANYTHING out there.

sortie 10-11-2008 10:16 AM

See sig.

User upload, comments, flv player with fade in thumbs, auto content loading,
auto tag creation, site search, raw stats reports, editable templates...etc...

KillerK 10-11-2008 10:43 AM

Forgot to mention script needs to allow uploads and comments and run on php and not have zend/ioncube required. All files should not be encoded in any way.

Well, Tubecgi is in perl so sorry about that.

But, you can probably get the unencoded source code of any script you like if you
agree to never distribute the script and only use it for your site and pay a
fee.

Offer $1500 for the source and see if that will get you the script you want the way you
want it.

Not many programmers are interested in giving up their code for a couple of hundred dollars.
Don't get confused with open source code that was created by 100 programmers who each spent 2 days total time on their parts. These script are by individual programmers
who give up months of work not just a few days.

the budget you have is really the most important factor. As far as I know most of the scripts are encoded. My script is NOT encoded in any way. If you find some things that you need customized in my script I am available for hire for custom work. If you have $1500 to spend you might be best off hiring some code monkeys to make a system tailored to exactly what you need. $1500 can get you quite a bit from those codemonkeys (obviously not the pros)

I don't know, but having open code with people fucking around with it might become a potential support nightmare..we absolutely don't want clients to fuck around in our code as it will be real hard to keep track of who customized their code and who didn't..

I completely agree, with my code being unencoded my first support question is always what mods have you done. I always tell people to make a backup and try the latest release available since there's many people that are on OLD versions its always where things have to start.
